well CARLING-1.03-SV7.ups is for the Starview 7 and CARLING-1.03-SV6.ups is for the Starview 6

Added after 2 minutes:

They have no lan on starveiw 7 because of the delay in getting boxes through customs i believe. The have a lan connector that plugs into the RS-232 instead.
Does any one know if the set up procedure is the same as starview 6.

I ordered a starview 6 2 weeks ago & recieved a starview 7 this morning.
Ive downloaded the firmware (as above) but the box doesnt recognise it!
Can anyone help? im at my wits end!

PLease explain in more detail.

You cant download it to your pc or box.

If you cant download it to your PC what error message are you getting.

If you cant download it to your box, same again, explain what problems your having.

Can you download it but not open it?.

After you have the file extracted from winrar format do not try and open it, it wont open it will just give you the error you are getting now, just transfer it to your blank usb drive and flash.

Do try and read some of the posts & threads,
all very good information there for you all.
TRY and read the following thread fully then if you still struggle ,
you should be looking for someone to do if for you,(IE; pay)
