Triax multiblock lnb holder

Hi cokeaddict, after being very frustrated setting up one of these triax multiholders in the past,I am convinced
that they are geared more towards the central european market, just like monoblock lnbs. They work very well
when adapted to suit the location they are used in.I replaced an old zone 2 sky dish about 2 years ago after
the arm fell off due to rust, with a triax type 65cm dish and used a triax multiholder.I,m in Dublin by the way.
I tried and failed to get 16e in the centre, might have more luck if more southerly though.I have it set up sweet
with 19.2e in centre and 13e,9e and 28.2e.You will have to drill the bracket about 50mm off centre away
from the original hole and swing the bracket upwards to the left. This works well for me in
all weathers.Pictures explain it better.Thats a home made bracket in the middle, made from scrap alu sheet.
You can make out the original hole in pics.Cheers

It would be great if I had a flat roof or the dish was at ground level, then I could really play with it and probably do something similar to what you have there.

Sadly though, the dish is on a pole above the gutter level and i'm really not good with ladders (don't mind heights, just hate ladders), so have to rely on the father in law to make the adjustments for me.

16east is very low responsive transponder Had isues from my location in the past As for modifying the T.D bracket never had to do that
Was able to receive 19.2E 23.5 E 28.2 East 13East with good s.n.r Have you considered
using bullet l.n.bs might help you achieve better
s.n.r on the transponders

16east is strong now but I don't know if the OP has turned the holder upside down and it depends on, cables. size of dish, LNB's and receiver. I have the holder and 3 bullet lnb's never used in the shed. I would always use either a 1m or 1.10m dish. Its so fiddly I gave up and went motorised. I think I used furniture polish to make the lnbs glide, ahh those were the days:LOL:

Well yesterday I finally managed to get my father in law to come back and get up there and have another go at getting 13e, 19.2e and 28.2e working.

Using the Triax multiblock lnb holder did the trick on the zone2 dish, the curve in the bar really helped as did swapping the 13e and 19.2e lnb's over as the head on the GM lnb is slightly smaller than the Inverto, so it could get that little bit closer once set back in the bracket.

We did end up moving the dish very slightly from 19.2E towards 13E, this means over all I lost 20% on the strongest transponders (sky de dropped from 97% to 77%) on 19.2E, interestingly the lower signal transponders (csat) did not loose anything and remain around 65%) but I gained 75% signal on 13E and 7% on 28,2E.

In theory there is the possibility to add a 4th lnb for 9e, but I can't be bothered to run the extra cables.

With bullet l.n.bs you could have fitted l.n.b for
23.5 east With my set up The prime focus l.n.b
19.2 east had high s.n.r with the v and h side of the transponder 96%The s.n.r with 28.2 was 90+% 13 east was 78% as it is a weaker transponder Are you 100% everything is level

I can't use a bullet lnb for 28.2E, as I need unicable II with 3 legacy.

The signals I have, are the best we could get with these lnb's, it's clear that the closer I can get the 19.2 and 13e lnb's then the better the signal will be, but i'm happy enough as it is, the lowest is 68% on 19.2 and 58% on 13e, and both are high 80's / low 90's on the strongest transponders.

28.2e, varies between 61% and 91% depending on which beam the transponders are on.
