Zgemma WiFi

It should be there if correct driver installed mate as it scans the network just like connecting a mobile phone to wireless
I know the skin does not change the functionality of the box but do you mind telling me what skin you have as I saw someone elsewhere mention the skin could have an effect and I got to a point where I have to try every little stupid thing.

I've used wooshbuilds and ipab and always had scan wireless networks there if you have the right driver go to menu system settings network and adaptor settings if you have correct driver it will show up i will take a picture and post what I mean you want rt2800usb wireless network interface driver

I have inserted dongle, turned off the box, removed the power, but power back on, turned on the box but this made no difference.

I know the box is detecting the dongle. See the difference when i run the lsusb command before and after i remove the dongle.

I will order the dongle you have and see how it goes.

Hi
I have got rid of wooshbuild and flashed openvix-4.2.006 then removed all network drivers and only installed network-usb-rtl8192cu (1.0-r3) but again no luck

Where did you get the driver network-usb-rtl8192cu (1.0-r3) if you don't mind me asking?

RDF.

Hi

RDF.
On your zgemma go to menu plugins press green button to download plugins and you want drivers all usb drivers in there mate

My wifi adaptor from Argos has worked really well for over a year driver 16/09/16 on kernel 4.0.1. Driver RTL8192CU (1.0-R3).
If I flash to the latest firmware the wifi does not work and RTL8192CU ver 2 (1.0-r4) is the one that is in plugins.
If I flash back to my backup of kernel 4.0.1 the wifi adaptor just works fine. It's connected right now.
http://www.techkings.org/threads/wrong-wifi-driver-in-plugins.132482/
So the driver I need for my TPlink TL-WN823N has been removed from plugins.
I can't buy a new wifi adaptor every time there is a new flash image.

RTL8192cu rev2 (1.0-R5) loads with the flash and in plugins is RTL8192CU (1.0-R4). RTL8192CE (1.0-R0), RTL8192EU(1.0-R0).
There are two hardware versions of WN823N, V1 and V2. https://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_TL-WN823N_v1
So can I get to the plugins for 4.0.1 some how, change the plugin address so I can get RTL8192 (1.0 R3) that is now missing?

Or buy a new wifi adaptor if I update my system, Openatv and openvix both do not have my driver anymore, I've flashed with both in the last week.
