Maybe Changing broadband provider, advice needed

Don't understand stuss, is that you apologizing or have I done something to apologize for?
No mate it was me, some reason 6 posts appeared, actually deleting my reply to your post.

I use TT . Good service, but customer services, super bad..

I'm with sly luckily you can do it all through texts now only downfall is they don't like to admit when there is a problem which I'm in middle of disputing with them but apart from that havnt had a problem with blocks ect and havnt had to use vpn had tt didn't like it bt put 2 lines in wouldn't admit it was there fault and billed me for 2 lines but got that resolved and money paid back eventually can't have vm in my area never been with plus net so can't say on them

HI Guys,
Can someone let me know what issue's they have seen with Vodafone? As I've been with them for 2 years and not had any issues with them blocking anything, yet.

Cheers.

Issues at the exchange November 2017, on contacting Vodafone, their response was. We cannot guarantee a fix before Christmas,
The service was over subscribed. 2mb d/load, 8mb/upload.. Vodafones answer was banging on 50gb on to my mobile phone, unfortunately I work away ? So once the phone leaves my home no internet..
I got out.. my neighbour still gets regular drops in service..

No problem stuss, I thought it was cos your post above just had a full stop and was a mistake, but wanted to make sure it wasn't cos my post was going on a few pages, as for TT ,have had ok broadband service but their CS stinks and cost me money cos they lied repeatedly, so won't get the business again.

Vodafone are the worst ISP for IPTV, I believe they have the most aggressive blocking of all. Every IPTV supplier I've been with, they usually have specific notices regarding issues with Vodafone
BT are usually the most expensive with price rises too, they have a great connection & Hub though..... their Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired.......still have that State-run company mentality like you're talking to HMRC and have absolutely no leverage
Talktalk, speed is always slightly below what I get with everyone else but would probably down to the crap hubs they supply, and it's always lovely to phone India whenever you have a problem......always feels like you're having 2 different conversations, "I have a problem with my Broadband"..........."OK Mr Luke, you have a problem with your TV box"..........kill me now
Vodafone, Worst choice for IPTV as detailed above.....and the Hub is crap
Virgin, great speed but always recommend using their hub only as a modem, couple of years on and it still feels like an unfinished product and it's harder and harder to get a decent deal from them these days
Sky, Aggressive blocking of IPTV but can get around it with a VPN. Q Hub is a piece of crap and once you have their mesh system setup with multiple devices, reduces the speed down massively even though they all have dual-antennas/wifi chips to avoid this, customer service isn't bad apart from the voice system on the phone.
Top tip - moo authentically like a Cow and it'll put you through to someone as it can't understand you, no other noise seems to do it and it'll keep asking you to try again. Even saying the word Moo doesn't work, my family all know when I'm getting ticked off with a voice system when I start mooing!! :ROFLMAO:

As you can see, they all have their pro's & con's, it's just finding the least worst one

Never noticed any blocking of iptv using sky , but I do run my own router which is Rock solid. Never known a dropped connection yet also run my iptv through wifi and not seen a glitch in that. I'm getting cabin fever here as both kids got norovirus and we been watching stuff on iptv since Wednesday and we ain't seen a buffer yet. But sky are expensive unless you got a offer. Heres hoping I dont get this norovirus, I'm a baby when it comes to spewing lol

Sky mainly block EPL and streaming apps with public sources like TVZion/Cyberflix etc

And I hate to be the bearer of bad/obvious news.......you WILL get norovirus if it's in the house :grimacing:
Brings the whole house down every time....GOOD LUCK

Only noticed it really in the last month or so, might be testing new measures in phases. Rarely get anything on TVZion now, connect my firestick to Personal Hotspot and I get pages of results

You use their hub or your own?

I'm reading with interest as I was thinking of going back to Sly after this stint with BT !! I have never had any problems in the past with Sly, and BT seems very Good with no problems with blocking, Sub is protected suppliers end and I use vpn for the apps you mentioned, maybe try and renegotiate with BT !!

I never had any issues with sly, they were the better provider for me. I went back to BT as they were the first to come to my area with fibre.

I only went with Sky this time as I was paying £35pm for 76mbps with TalkTalk, managed to get Sky 38mbps and Sky TV inc Kids for £35pm, was a no brainer really

as big a fan I am of iptv etc, I still like to pay what content is worth, I have sky, Netflix, prime, but when they start hiking things up to £60-80pm, it gets cancelled and I rely on my iptv more
Sports - I refuse to pay astronomical prices because of football, I like golf, f1, Moto gp yet both Sky & BT’s prices are because of a game of 22 millionaires kicking a sack of air round a field

further confusion for me as the house phone is now a deal breaker (never use the damn thing unless someone phones me:cry:). But interestingly for me is that Openreach has now put my area box on 'soon' for install of fibre to the house , so according to them what know, that means within 6 months usually. I will get updated when it is going to happen.
So, I'm tending to NOW broadband and phone on a monthly deal, as all the rest want 12-18 months deals. Price is ok and speed appears same as the rest 10-11mb which is what I'm getting now. As long as they don't block IPTV.
