Evening all, as the title says we have very bad draft coming from the sash windows, luckily these are only at the front due to listings and not at the back of the property.
Advice on what I can get do/get to stop the draft?

Thanks all!!

This video on YouTube shows you how to draught proof a sash window with a clothes peg!

Well that's a fine how'd you do.
We could type that for every question that gets asked here.
Consult google.
Sorta makes every other website and forum on earth surplus to requirements

waiting for the council to give me the go ahead, I have got the others replaced just a issue with the front ones.

Well while its cold outside at this time of year I'd fix some draught excluding strips to the side of the window or covering the gaps. They can be bought for a few quid from your poundstretcher type stores and will do a job short term. Silicone sealant would be an alternative idea to fill the gap up for now. It can be removed in future if your replacing the winows.
