Looking for guidance and any help please,I have the 4k firestick hardwired using the Amazon Ethernet adaptor my ISP is TalkTalk and using there HG635 super router with 78mb fibre download, which is upstairs in my 3rd bed room( Study) it is connected from there to the stick via a 15 meter long Cat 5 patch cable, just recently i have been having the dreaded you "Firestick is not connected issues" resulting in me having to unplug wait for a few seconds and plug it back in ,this either works or doesn't but it will reconnect shortly afterwards,I did have something similar using WiFi which prompted me to go down the hard wired path,I have submitted this problem to Amazon forum and they blame the router but the amount of people experiencing this is quite a few and it seems to be a common problem(surely all the routers cant be at fault especially when all the other stuff I have is not affected and never needed to be rebooted or lost connection, they are all NOT running at the same time so I assume that the router is not overloaded as it were,I have only Nord VPN, VPN Safety dot, Smartiptv and XCiptv and VLC player and the Stop apps running in the background apps along with Amazons pre-installed ones, sorry for the lengthy post but I want to give all info that might be needed to help me..

Have you tried with a set of powerlines mate or try different ethanet port on router is it the official amazon ethanet adaptor or a 3rd party one that you are using has anything pierced the ethanet cable does it do it on WiFi

I will try what you suggest the next time it happens baz, something similar was happening when using power line adaptors on wifi this is why I opted to go hardwired and it is an authentic Amazon adaptor,it only does it occasionally but at the time you don't want it to happen(watching the footy lol) I was advised to change my vpn server I have done so and waiting to see what happens, but like i said in the original post there are so many complaining about this happening to them that I am leaning towards an Amazon hardware/software thing that they seem unable to correct,as it's still under warranty and it starts doing it on a regular basis it will be posted back to them for a replacement

I've never noticed it happen on my stick but very rarely use stick but will be interesting to see if any other member is having same problem/experienced same problem

I have two sticks both hard wired and never experienced that problem, I do sometimes get a freeze on some apps but I have sorted that out with pull the power out and clear cache! I think it's either router or VPN!

do NOT discount the router
my ALEXA has constant dropouts on my Hauwei router,
I solved it by connecting my Alexa to a different router, I have a few old routers than I have disabled modem mode and DHCP on to simply use as Wifi AP and switches, my Alexa has never dropped out once since connecting it to a different AP.

Thank you all for your input in this, there seems to be albeit a small percentage that haven't had problems, but a vast majority have(sourced from various forums and Amazon forum),I will certainly look at the router if this continues at the moment I have changed my VPN to another provider so will see what happens, but then if it is router based what would be the best middle of the range ADSL/FIBRE router to go for
