Covid-19 the second wave

But but, Boris. Sick people, erm, fight the power, Tories, erm we shall not be moved, sick nurses, er, Boris went to Eaton, erm could they have dropped the kid off at kennels or summat, mmm, he's rich, like richer than me erm, boo for Boris, clap for nurses and boo Boris to stop nurses from getting covid.

Why do you keep turning it into a Tory thing? Is that where you feel the strength of your argument is? It's just that you're the one who seems overly concerned with the fact they're posh tories, nobody else on the thread does.

And the "boo for Boris" thing that you keep going on about... that only you keep going on about, that never got off the ground apparently so you can stop prattling on about it as if the people you're trying to patronise were out on their doorsteps banging pan lids. It didn't happen.

Funnily enough, techkings is not the only hub for this conversation.

At the end of the day he isn't the first mp or he won't be the last mp to break any rules and get away with it, if I break any rules at work I would probably be looking for another job within a week.

He isn't an MP

Jokes aside it is true that plenty of MPs have actually breached regs and done so without having vulnerable children to worry about. We've just not seen 13 page threads on them, or national campaigns to have them sacked.

Ho hum

In hindsight which one of us whether mp or not would have done what Cummings did I know I certainly would have done especially for my autistic kids if that was the reason? I havnt read about what reason/excuse supposedly used but every mp has broken lockdown no matter who they what constabulary there from lol

I'd probably have more respect for him if he'd come out and said "I don't care what anyone thinks, I'm a Father first, government advisor second." As it is, it seems to me that he's caused a load more controversy and speculation by trying to lie his way out of it.

Exactly if he would have been honest maybe people look a different way to it I've seen one minister has resigned over it.

This is the whole argument baz, hes 100% broke the rules, yet he hasn't got the decency to apologise to the millions of us who have abided by the rules and not seen loved ones, or to people like del on here who couldn't see his mom when She died, its a national scandal purely for that reason alone.

OK well it might be an idea to converse with people on each specific forum using THEIR views to debate and not a mass opinion you've cobbled together in your overly concerned mind.

I've done that also.

It's possible to talk to people about their views and also skewer what is going on in wider public debate.

Ain't zero sum, boss

I'll be sure to take your ideas on what I should and shouldn't post on board though...

There should have been exceptions to see loved ones in their final days/hours but I don't read too much into the political b######s that's on the left wing media now days (news)

Mate let's be honest, it dont matter who's in charge or what government is leading, they will f*** us all someway or another, the thing that has hurt me is again, loved ones on deathbed dying alone because the rules were in place, if there is exceptions like cummings said, your telling me exceptions shouldn't be made for people like del who lost the chance to say goodbye to his mom? This is what annoys me, if cummings is saying there exceptions and I didn't break the rules then why cant del say goodbye to his mom, why couldn't a mate of mine say goodbye to his nan who died from covid? Its a poor excuse from a man who basically could not give a f*** about any one of us and thinks he can do what he wants.

Are you replying to me here or Chantelle from mumsnet? Maybe a distant cousin from Facebook? Bit difficult to know given that you talk to people on so many avenues about something you keep insisting THEY are so obsessed over.

Exactly mate 110%

this thread does not matter. this topic will be done in a cycle. fake outrage never lasts, even when there is no sport. anyone who has had a child knows that tanturms are ephemeral.

Oh sorry my mistake, he's a chief adviser, that's even worse.
