Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice if possible please.

Can anyone help with what is the best, easiest and most effective VPN to put on a Zgemma H9s?

Also any easy ways to add what do work. I've seen the script method but just wondering if there is any other ways that work.

Thanks all.

Hi I’m on the same boat, I’ve tried the add vpn easily plugin but can’t get it too work, are you on wooshbuild? Try menu plugins download plugins go to wooshbuild and add vpn easily

Download this https://e2openvpn.com/OpenVPN_Generator/
Add your vpn username/password then generate it will create a script which you send to your box then pick your vpn from the list and press the corresponding number
Number 1 is nord so press 1 etc
It will load vpn manager press menu
All config in one folder click yes then OK
You will see a list of servers on the left hand panel pick 1 then green to start

I have seen these options as I'm on wooshbuild - was interested in if any worked better than others?

I've heard mixed reviews about them working from this option, like what you have found.

Download this VPN Script Generator

Thanks for this info, is there any of the VPN's you would recommend over any others for this?

Also do I put the user name in for open vpn in the script generator or just my username for whatever vpn I have got? As I see the script generator is a open vpn script generator.

Thank you.

It definitely works if I discontect my vpn I get black screens it only happens at the weekend when the block is on

Okay mate, thanks a lot for the info this is really helpful. I'll give it a try and see how it goes. The script I can do via putty I assume?

Great, thank you I'll give this a go and see.

Another query, if you have your vpn off do you lose all of your iptv or just the certain premium channels and the normal terrestrial channels stay on?

@meadow24 is there anyway you could send me a pic of what VPN's are available on that vpn manager please?

I'm looking at getting one, I'd hate to sign up to one and find out it isn't on there.

Thanks again.

Here you go thats at the start of the script press the number which corresponds to your vpn

Hi,
Thank you so much for the steps. But mine hasnt connected yet. But downloaded. How do i activate it. Still showing red colour not green.

Thanks

For some you'll have a different user/pass for openvpn. Surfshark uses the generated credentials
Thankyou very much for all of your work here @dsayers2014 , it's very appreciated.

I have been looking through your post about all of this and just found your instructions re surfshark, which I have just done and re done the script. That is all good now and I can connect to a server with no login errors (y)

What I am finding now, once I connect to a server, the iptv screen (what's on the tv) just freezes and I have to reboot the box.

Can you help me around this please? Maybe there is something else I need to do?

Thankyou

With virgin I have to use Google DNS in network settings. In network menu configure set nameservers to Google DNS

Nameserver 1 8.8.8.8

Nameserver 2 8.8.4.4
