I have had a number of splitters on cable now no longer needed 5 - 1000mhz and thinking they could be used on Saorview feeds and will assume they are passive?
if you look at the schematic on them (any decent ones I have ever seen have a schematic printed on them)
you will see if they have diodes in line or not, most have diodes in place for masthead amps
they should be passive with one way voltage for a masthead amp, and can therefore be considered passive
that just looks like a straight passthrough
the diodes are only needed if you have a masthead amp, its to stop the voltage being backfed into your other equipment,
so if you dont have a masthead amp that will be fine,
I cant see the freq range, but I assume you have verified that as being OK.
EDIT : I see you say 5-1000 I have no idea the freq of Saorview lol
