I think that would be the case if the SN is hardcoded into the original boxes firmware, and cant be duplicated
or the server may pick up on duplicate SNs and disable that SN completely
I seen it and it was hacked but they managed to stop it
Their server knows which boxes are connected, their serial number and date of expiry of sub. The server will also know what requests are coming for codes for one channel at a time. If multiple requests start coming simultaneously from one box, they might have ways to know that. Obviously I am not a techie but this is my guess.

Latest firmware for the viark sat 4k 2160p h.265 is - PT VIARK SAT 4K 1.04
Just Google it.
Install the firmware via USB - Press USB on the remote (or Menu - Net & Games - USB) click OK on the Firmware to install.
Scan channels in on the the Satellite you want - Menu - Antenna Configuration - Installation - choose Satellite - Start Search (Satellite Search or Blind Search).
Check in Net & Games that it says "PT Connected" (if "Disconnected" Press OK & Exit)
Don't download updates on the box, always update by USB.
Place Firmware PT 1.04.bin on a Usb stick.
Insert usb in Front or back USB Slot
Press Menu then NET & Games Usb and press OK
Select Usb scroll to pt 1.04 and press ok then YES To upgrade Firmware
Box will reboot itself when its finished

Got the Viark sat 4k box delivered monday from Germany, basic box now and next epg only.
installed latest 104 firmware
not tested 28.2 today yet nothing clearing on the sat yesterday...got it motorized with a motor i have had for years, only using Sky dish and quad lnb but so far got 28.2, 19, and 13 sats installed.
cannot pick 42e with such a small dish.
does anyone have STV HD I did at the beginning now its gone lol.

STV HD clearing just now sometimes odd channels go awol then return

Yes it's opening at the moment, I noticed some channels come and go, though STV HD is also freeview anyway.

Yeah, rebooted the box and working fine now.

STV HD is clearing on 12168/V/27500 and also on 12363/V/27500
Some TP's are missing i had to add a load, check just in case mate.
A liitle update, my SPARE starsat is humming again, AFN, and for now BT sport HD. That ebay seller never came back re my query about factory reset so I have sought a refund. used a different online method to update other box, worked in minutes.
