Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

Can anyone help me is it possible to get viark 4k sat remote control that will not CLICK it driving the wife mad with all this going on checking channels that are working or not checking settings would a all4one remote work

Don’t you need code to activate a particular remote?
not sure if Logitech Harmony will work.

Harmony remotes should work, I have an older one which has an built in ir receiver so you can programme it. But even on there, channel up and down buttons make a stupid click.

I know. It's bloody annoying isn't it?

The remote which comes with the Viark Lil seems to be the same kind of remote as the Mag box remote. Whether a Mag remote would work with the Sat 4K I dunno.

I've got a Sat 4K and a Mag 323 but not sure where the remote is. Will try if I find it or if there's someone reading this who has both and wouldn't mind testing that'd be great.

The epg may have changed in some way but on Sky you will only ever get now and next without a third party epg. I have seen some packages on some satellites load up days worth just as they do on Enigma 2. Unfortunately customisation of such things is not a strong point of the Viarks

The remote on the 4K is identical in appearence to the Octagon sf8008 with some different functionality of some buttons but they dont work between the boxes. The 4K remote works better than the original Octagon which is crap. Had to import a new V2 version for the Octagon as the v1 was so crap which is like going from night to day
 
Updated my Starsat T14 Extreme to firmware version 1.81 and it has updated my server to 136 (previously it was on 135).

Has anyone used the bein audio function?

I tried using it for the Leicester West Brom game the other day to see if they had bein’s English commentary but no luck.

Tried it again today during the Newcastle game, but none of them were working.

I noticed that, no idea what that is, as no audio.
 
I decided to test my Viark 4K on UK Sky Sports F1 this weekend by setting it to record the Indycars, as it is not on one of those boring oval tracks this time.
It did the qualifying OK earlier this evening and played it back OK so I have it set to record today's race and will see if it stays clearing the channel for that too :smiley:
