Dont always rely on comparison sites there is a lot of independant brokers aswell.
A higher excess can also bring down the price of your quote aswell.
And dont even get me started on postcode quotes variations ffs whats that all about ??
Let me enlighten you!!
You live on a street where there as been several insurance claims due to accidents and guess what you are more likely to become one of the said claimants therefore your premium is increased because they think you are going to be in an accident the same as them ffs ( talk about being tied to the same brush or what !!!).
Then theres the market value of your car for a potential payout ?? Dont be fooled into thinking you paid £10k for your car thats what you will be offered if its written off WRONG .
If you do use comparison sites find the quote you think best fits your needs and dont just click Accept etc ring the broker direct and barter for a better price and if they dont play ball move onto the next one !! Dont forget at the end of the day they want your buisiness.
Dont try and withold that 3 points ya got for that speeding ticket or trust me they will try every legal angle to withdraw a claim and make it null and void on a technicality you have never heard of.
If you own a prized possesion like myself try specialist brokers who will assess and agree a valuation on your vehicle and its security measures in place to stop it being stolen etc.
Always be up front TRUST me from personal experience if they can find a way to not pay up on a claim they will !!!.
Anyway rant over and happy searching
