4K UHD Content

Think Alot don't bother with 4k content as not every device supports 4k so just imagine ballache of trying to explain its your device that can't handle it upgrade your device......... But I like my 2nd gen stick ect ect
You really will be looking at the higher end boxes to be fair. Someone will go out a buy a decent box and realise they dont have a 4k tv

It would still play in 4k on a 4k device but wouldn't see the true 4k effects of having 4k tv and 4k device

4K TV on my Z8 pro looks better than 4K on netflix. I was suprised how good it looks, I thought it would be compressed to save bandwidth but obviously some servers can handle it.

Not a lot of stuff but mainly some FTA

The trouble is with 4k content you need fast speeeds and a decent device even for VOD content. Suppliers will get customers moaning they have spent £30 on there cheap chinise box and wonder why it is not working.

Amazing what you can find out in such a short space of time.

I have had retentions call me on couple of different numbers now.

But last few times missed their call. Not intentionally but they call at random times so bound to miss their calls.

Could see them not calling again tbh which will be be on me for not answering those times.
Wrong thread mate?

There are even a few more channels now that offer 4K from my supplier HBO Max for starts exceptional picture good as Netflix in 4K

I was just asked if I would be interested to have this added to my package for extra few quid and opted in and I have to say not disappointed.

I was advised I would need at least 30MB download speed and a 4K Device and 4K

BT Sport Ulitmate looks more amazing than the Sky UHD, the resolution is showing 3048 x 2160

Give it a couple of months and there will probably be many more channels avaliable in 4k. Personally will not mind if they put the price up a bit as long as they can keep sourcing the streams

Trouble is some people don't realise they will actually need around 60 meg. To cover other stuff connected to the net and possible use of a VPN.

It will depend if for say you have 2 kids and the mrs
1 kid on youtube hd 15 meg
1 kid on ps4 40 meg
Mrs listening to music 5meg
Then I am watching football in 4k 30meg
You will need at least 90 meg however in reality you will need 100 meg to prevent buffering.
I got 65 mpbs! But no kids at home, and ban her indoors from tablet whilst football is on!
Should be OK!!

A lot of 4K content is now available on KODI and some standalones like Viva and Bee TV for movies and TV shows, no sport from what I can see on it.
I can definitely see the difference between 1080p and 4K from my projector on an 85 inch screen but I don't think it is as noticeable below 55 inch on a TV.

Sadly my download speed is usually only around 23 mbps so it is just a few mbps to slow, although for the last couple of weeks it has been around 28 mbps but even that is struggling to keep up with something streaming so I tend to download movies in 4K with HDR and Dolby Atmos if they are available, then watch them off my computer.

It's a toss up to me which is better, 4K or 3D as the extra definition and clarity of 4K over 1080p makes it appear almost like it is in 3D but then when I watch 3D I find it so immersive that I think it just about has the edge over 4K.
Now if they did 3D in 4K there would definitely be no contest but from what I can see you can only get 3D in 1080p and most of the stuff I get are in SBS or top and bottom so I guess that they are really only half 1080p for each eye.

Tbh seen a few films over the years in 4K and quality has been so impressive.

But for so long I have downloaded and played 1080p remuxes and quality is amazing for me and happy with that personally.

3D as great as it is. It's been a dead technology for a long time and not much content for it as not much demand for it over the years.

Have old Panasonic Plasma which is 3D and seen a few but hands down Avatar is best film or anything for that matter I have seen in 3D. Was so immersive and mind blowing to say the least.

Well I posted on the request thread yesterday and got not a single pm from people offering 4k sports so probably very safe to assume it's not really readily available just yet.

It's not on a huge amount of channels at the moment. I have the odd one.
