Most certainly chuck downloader on it and sideload Smarters etc and make sure to allow Apps from unknown sources for installation in the settings etc 👍👍👍

Best option is to load x-plore on amazon tablet and then just transfer in any app etc from network connected device, and keep playstore off the tablet.
I keep all my apk's up to date on cloud and can then install to each and every device running x-plore
