Channels working but with channel boxes left on screen.

Could be your ISP blocking the streams without VPN that’s why it only works when it’s on or ur provider gives u host works only with VPN
Yes but my question is why is it when its working with vpn on that the icons for tv channels are left on the screen?

Have you tried uninstalling the player then reinstall it.
It looks like its corrupted to me
Yes tried that. Even deleted cache and then data before uninstalling and when installed again it still remembered all my details and still same problem. Even removed m3u before removing it and it installed it again aswell.

If it already had all your details when you reinstalled it, it wasn't removed.
I know this but is there a way around this?

Use Memory Optimizer
This built-in feature clears system memory, closes background processes, and clears caches.
Press the Settings (gear) button on your remote.
Go to All Settings > Support > Device Care (or OLED Care / Memory Optimizer).
Select Memory Optimizer and hit Start.
