I’m Albanian and I spoke to a friend of a friend who works for Digitalb in Tirana yesterday. He said that they’ve had to withdraw secondary English audio due to anti piracy geo-blocking mandates

They had serie a removed but it's back, I will reserve judgement thanks.
They can only geo block app and website, so pointless removing second audio option.

I hear you mate but I’m only repeating what he told me on the phone. I’ve known the guy for years and he’s worked there since the start. I’m hoping he’s wrong too but there’s so much going on between Digitalb/SuperSport and Tring Sport. Tring have exclusivity for champions league matches but Top Channel which is part of Digitalb is also broadcasting games without permission. It’s kicked off big time

Reminds me of the (Bein) Qatar and Saudi piracy saga... to be honest if it is a piracy issue then removing English comms makes sense ..i take it English is not a widely spoken language in Albania and likely doesn't affect the locals much...damn shame tho

That’s exactly right mate, nobody in Albania uses the second audio option for English commentary in bars and pubs who show football so no use to them. It’s a shame for us other fans who live elsewhere lol. I’m Albanian but I hate listening to our commentators an will only watch it with English commentary
