What made me try it again, was that Dan's hitnews info wasn't working for me. Anyone else having trouble or success with that server?

Sometimes it can fail to connect to the server, the details are correct from the time i post them and are valid for 3 days from the post date. As you know i cant guarantee 100% that you'll be able to connect to the server, 90% of the time it works fine, the speeds are great too. Its the nature of running servers, you'll always get downtimes regardless of how well they are maintained, it depends on numerous factors as to how well these servers work.

Further infractions will result in a weeks ban, do it again after the ban has lapsed and you will be banned permanently.

Moderators have more important things to do without having to wipe up pointless - countless Thanks posts!.

Woah sounds a little harsh there. But i do agree its getting to be a little annoying especially since there's no link i can save that will go to the last page.. ?

And on hitnews... i do find it can be a little unreliable. xlned is more reliable.. but creating an acc on that gets confusing/doesnt always work.. but i'll try post one 2moro for everyone :)

Hitnews works much better after midnight i gotta say. no idea why but it pretty much always connects after then.

When I try to connect, I keep getting an error 502 you've reached your maximum number of simultaneous connections (9/8)
What am I doing wrong
 
Maybe I'm missing somerhing but I'm having some troubles.
Trying to press "thanks' to Wiz for his post at 04-12-2010 but nothing happens.
The option is still there no matter how many times I've pressed it.
Other post work fine, it's just that one.

can you not see the info thats there, you should be able to view, once is enough to click thanks,

let me know.

I've just clicked thanks and its working no probs,

is the thanks option there, or unthanks option ?

I have the same problem with dan-ger-ous's post. Cant see it and when Click thanks and i get:

Invalid response from server: You don't have permission to undo a button click.

reply with quote used to work.. doesnt anymore.

a workaround however was posted by kolkol99.. which is to click on his/my name next to the post. and click 'view all forum posts'

Go down to the date posted (4th december) and you can see it.

And xlned does have a limit to max connections so wont connect all the time. i'll try posting another acc as it seems alot of people are using it. Free hitnews doesn't.
 
Couldnt manage to make another xlned.. not sure why.. but here's a short 2 day trial.. 10gb limit so probs wont last very long. But not difficult to make one yourself on this site. Jus as posted on this forum.. disposable email.. goemailgo works. and a proxy.. or for the first time you can jus use it normally.

That work around is now fixed. Viewing a members forum posts wont show the hidden content.

Can you ALL please use the hide function in here otherwise I will have to close this thread.

To hide content wrap the content with the HIDE tags

There is an option to say 'thanks' but I don't have an 'unthank' option.

Pressed the 'I like' option which promptly went away.
Pressed 'Thank for this post' again but this option didn't go away.
There's no info shown.

I've pressed 'thanks' in another post.
The 'thanks' option disappeared and the info was shown.

Using Opera 10.63, xp pro.
 
peterbohs, you can create another one or else just use the one from the post👍
