I think Official sly can be had for around 19 per month if you want hd that bad and are prepared to negotiate hard for it. Obviously youd need to pay for your bt sports etc on top right enough. I don't think it's that bad.

TBH if people cant get HD and there is not fix then you would need to pay to get it from sly.
 
It also looks like the new firmware and software updates will prevent multiple decoding of channels - which is pretty fundamental to a CS server
So not only will CS suppliers have to get around the box pairing, they also need to sort that out.

My guess is there won't be an economical fix any time soon

Next on the list will be various promotions to convert SD only customers to HD
They don't want to have to keep using the bandwidth for SD content, there'd be quite a saving from dropping it - which means they can be quite generous when trying to tempt the SD customers onto HD
 
lol local cards means cards in a server !!!!! Resellers and fakers use severs that are linked to other servers and don't hold cards at all!!!!!!

In English they make a fake reader with a line from a server and then re share that
Local cards does not mean it's shared from a sky box! At all.

You don't research much do you?

To get HD is £10 a month for HD then a package . Sport and movies is like £35 a month

I posted all ready a do and don'ts to server

To get all the xxx sports and movies ect is over £200 a month

I cant see sly trying to move customers over to HD as they have just stitched up alot of customers by was receiving sport channels was getting the HD free if they had the HD entertainment extra package. Now sky sent out letters saying they only had it on a free trail and was charging an extra £5.25 a month for sports in HD.

They lost a lot of custom over this.

I also see they look to launch a new box in the next 18months which will support 4k and have cloud based recording.
 
Can I ask, would you have paid sky the extra £10 per month for HD? I know I wouldn't have, they make as much money as they can until it becomes the standard, I would have been happy with sd, when 4k comes I bet they are going to want £20per month for that, so they are securing the future and changing codecs so other box's can't watch.

Thanks, have got BT Sports back using updated channels list from ccamsharings site.
I notice History HD has been replaced with History SD too.

Guess we just sit back now and wait to see what happens with the other Sky HD channels.

Even if we lose them, I still think its great what we get away with

I have just been informed by a reliable source that HD is going very soon, all SD will also be gone by mid August, same for European TV also

it took them a ridiculously long time to get rid of HD. SD is harder. My source reckons SD is safe. Sky italia HD went many years ago. SD still works.
 
I've read elsewhere that some italian Sky sd channels have gone blank. Not long now me thinks, ifthis is true :-(

Has it finally come ro an end....mine has gone off and my supplier is not responding after 15 months trouble free service....gutted if it has...
 
Hopefully get at least another few months out of this at least.

Kind of wish i'd just opted for the cheaper skybox now. But also grateful i didnt go buying a very top of the range box lol.
