radio code for ford 6000 cd

Thanks. I had the same code and have tried it twice. It does not accept it thats why osted in the forum. After trying the countdown starts again. What do you think the problem will be?

Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" CODE " Then " 0000 "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown

Press and hold preset "5 or 6 " To Enter

Did you check if the serial number is correct.

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M854331 or V555323
Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Yes I did follow the above procedure.

The serial is M240662 which is what is in the casing.
After pressing 6 & 1 together in the radio got the following mssgs in order:
JA CB AT RW RL RR
C214 00-02-08D_C
MAY 15 2003
