If you read what I said, not all my friends have laptops, so I have to FTP using my phone and it doesn't work great when there are multiple files/folders. phone just freezes up. ipk is easier if I FTP with a phone as it is one file not a bunch of files in a folder.

I think I will have to FTP over internet then, since making an ipk from the folder seems effort.

I think in the age of the internet, things like this will happen. It is not nice at all but I think a lot of people appreciate the amazing work you have done and to see it shared and used by so many is a massive compliment to your work.

I just noticed.
When there is a Recording clash and yu disable/enable recordings, it doesn't show you programme info in the "Timer sanity error" screen where you choose which recording to disable. Its blank where it normally shows.

Knowing info helps decide if you want to disable and then record a repeat. info tells you if its same episode of the show or no gfx L recording on bt

If on the infobar I wanted to delete the signal box and icons and make the next program box bigger.. er.. what would I need to edit? lol
 
the code edit is easy, but unfortunately you would need a new background graphic for this panel if you change it's layout. Unfortunately I am not creating graphics for everyone's personal edits.

is the block for the snr and icons. You would delete or comment out these <!-- .... -->

Cheers Kiddac, just hopefully installed your latest update. How do I know if my box is running with the latest slyk 1 skin as I'm not sure it installed properly?

( Press: Menu / Information / About) that will give you all the information about the box, skin version is at the bottom of the page,

What code can I edit to show programme information on the recording clash ("Timer sanity error") screen?
At the moment its a blank box

the about us page will say 2.0. If you want to know the exact version go into plugins menu. remove plugins...skins. and see what version it says. latest is 2.003

Is it possible to make the service on the multi-epg (when you press right arrow to see whats on next/later...the yellow bit) screen a bit thinner so it matches the other screens?

yes that screen should have 2 rows. is this another sucnmsee faff.

press menu on that screen change the rows to 2.
 
wish i could download the backup files as it looks and sounds great, i am a complete newbie so struggling to add value to an existing post to get marked as constructive.

I have also gone back to the smaller spinner on your latest version... I tried it again yesterday and I actually think it does look better especially on larger screens. I see the wisdom in your choice to shrink it.
I guess I didnt like it at first as it suddenly looked different lol. Smaller definately looks more polished.

I noticed one last thing recently, when you go through options to Search for a show by its name (or search using Yellow button whilst watching tv), the Search box is not skinned.

Thought I'd mention it, seems like you're a perfectionist and maybe you'd wanna make that good old blue instead of black...

its a virtual keyboard. what colour is your laptop. blue? It's meant to be black and it is skinned thankyou.
 
This skin is a superb piece of work, particularly due to the amount of time and committment that would need to have been devoted to get it fully functioning. I will definitely be seeking out how to contribute to the beer kitty very shortly!

I have one question that I can't seem to find the answer to. On the programme info screen (OK button twice on my remote), when on a paid for channel it displays: Server xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx. and port - i.e. it displays some of the line details.

Can this be disabled anywhere?

are you asking because you want to display it somewhere else or are you paranoid because it's displayed.

johnjohns... thanks for your input, but this skin isn't bluehd it slyk1hd. As for python files. All the uncompiled files can be found on github. Just type enigma2 Openatv (or Openvix) followed by the py component into google. Make your edits (if you are brave enough) and re-add. No need to recompile. Placing it into the correct location it will compile to a pyo on reboot. I am not being grumpy, people have had plenty of time to make suggestions. This skin is finished apart from bugs.
