opinions please...

I have added in the transponder information on the second infobar as a few people have asked for it.

I am considering removing the snr gauge bar and just having SNR: 99% text and increasing the size of the next program box.

What do people think. Do they like the snr bar or should it go. Does the next program need to be bigger.

how many people are interested in the hbbtv icon being included to the icon list.

Do I need the HD/SD icon as well as the 480/576/720/1080 icon. The latter only ever shows 576 or 1080 anyway on 28.2e

I think smaller snr and a HD/SD icon is enough
Hbbtv don't know what that is; but I thought you were done with this now kiddac???
 
just tweaking a few things that are bugging me. that is all.... er... some amended graphics, some amended backgrounds, some amended colours, new button layouts.
 
Personally I prefer to have my server details rather then transponder information, it's useful for people like me who use n lines and mgcamd as you can't see server information in softcam/ci with mgcamd.
As for the snr bar yes I think it would be better to loose it and just have the % and make the next program bar longer, the % bar is not really needed, I think it's better to have the program info.

Yes hd/sd removing the snr gauge with a % and the transponder info would be great what about squeezing the server info in between channel name and time line or would that be too squashed and cause over lapping

Agree with No1gooner would prefer the server detail but would also leave the SNR bar but would make it smaller
 
Personally I can't see why the transponder info is needed in the info bar the two most important things are the snr and the server details which determine the quality of the viewing, if channels start glitching, you can quickly determine what's causing it, if it's signal or server related.
 
it doesnt matter either way ive lost the ecm details lol while trying to mimic jhonjhons info bar screen i know its under user interface settings somewhere i just cant work out what i changed
 
cheers thats one of the things i did change and changed back but it didn't make a difference till i just rebooted box dho :whacko: all working fine thanks

Should be good with the SNR text only and a bigger next event. Maybe add a tuner C and D icon as well for the peeps with extra tuners. I doubt many if any on here will have seen hbbtv and anything other than 576/1080.

Transponder info would be nice to have separate as option to add for thos that want it, some do, some don't.
Lot of people prefer a clean look without info about line or transponder in the infobar. That stuff is not needed on a day to day basis so it's only great for some who like to check these things regularly. Optional would be good for this.

removing the gauge bar sounds good as the percentage is enough, and will leave more space for programme

hbbbtv icon is little used I would think.

the HD/SD and 720/1080 is nice, not intrusive.

ps thanks for fixing the infobar now and next, and yes I think you are right in thinking to removing time from the top... as time show started already shows along bottom.

The only thing is I don't remember all the custom edits I have done to adjust things here and there so after a fresh install of latest version, I will have trouble remembering what lines of code to change to get back to the customisation you helped with.

My opinion is:
1) Remove the elapsed / remaining timer bar altogether
2) Move the SNR gauge and tuner a/b to the info screen
3) No need for the HD/SD icon as the channel name shows this anyway
4) Remove the 480/576/720/1080 icon
 
Lincsat, i use your image as I find it the fastest and most stable but do you know if this slyk1 skin can be used with your image? And if so how do I load it on as I've ftp'd it to var/volatile/tmp folder but when I go to install local extent ok it doesn't see the file

It works fine with the ViX4E2 image. You put the .ipk file in /tmp/ and then install from the ViX4E2 manager
