Thanks for this guide, I installed this build last week and the build install itself all went fine but I have an Opticombo USB DVB T/T2/C Tuner and after installing the drivers my box hangs on reboot. I tried a couple of times before flashing back sucmnsee's vix image which works fine with the adapter.

Has anyone come across this before? I'd like to give this build a go if possible but the USB tuner is a must. Cheers :)

Wooshbuild has been specifically built for Zgemma boxes only.
The drivers in the build look for the H3 files and if not found then the the build will not work correctly
Whilst it may well install it will not run without the correct files being used.

Sorry, I don't know if I have confused you or if I'm confused with what you mean but yes I have a Zgemma H.2S.

Wooshbuild itself works fine and I can get sat channels fine. I have an external USB tuner which is the opticombo, when I go to plugins and install the drivers (in the same way as I do for the vix image) they install but then my box hangs after a reboot. I don't experience this with sucmnsee's vix build.

Really hoping someone can help me out? My time-shift is not working correctly and the system keeps becoming unresponsive for 3-5 minutes at a time then works for a couple of minutes then again becomes unresponsive, this repeats continuously.

We have a few boxes and I have checked the HDD and can confirm there are no issues with it and time-shift works correctly on OpenVix.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue would be appreciated.

just updated to latest version and the EPG seems to be saved to the internal flash rather than external one. is this normal? never noticed it before and tried changing but the box crashed? had to reboot and then change to external flash but this is not in the instructions. maybe something to add?

Is it full moon time? Ah there we go, the reason the forum has gone nuts with post after post after post where people wont follow instructions or read through a thread

Rollmesome you must of missed part of step 5 as it explains how to setup where the epg is saved

i followed that but i was looking at EPG in the menu not cross EPG (cross EPG is set to usb). EPG defaults to internal flash but maybe this is normal? I might have looked at something i was not supposed to

No reason why you should have this problem unless it is an OpenATV issue but I doubt it. If you fancy doing some testing you can always flash the latest nightly build and see if you can make it work with that. ?

Would you post a link to a reliable source for one of these please?

Thanks Wooshman. I might test a stock OpenATV image for the H.2S to rule out the possibility of it being an OpenATV issue, if all goes well then I'll give the nightly build a try like you mentioned.

I actually bought my USB tuner direct from Zgemma.co.uk but it looks like they don't have any more in stock now. I wanted another so I've ordered one from Amazon Germany last Friday. The link is here pal :)

Hi Wooshman,

Thanks very much for the image, everything working perfectly, although I do still have the OpenATV timeshift bug, I'm guessing you have the same jgilligan82?, I can record fine, but timeshift no matter what I do wont work, I had this before, I'm not sure if its a compatibility problem or a bug, but Openvix works fine, ive tested openpli4 too and that is the same as openatv,

but other than that I would like to say a big thankyou for all the time and effort you've put in, if I can get timeshift working this image is as close to perfect as possible!!!

Nothing wrong with timeshift on WooshBuild o OpenATV. Define "timeshift bug"

Sounds like you need to check the timeshift location

Menu -> Setup -> Recording & Timeshift -> Timeshift.
Set the top one up again for your recording device.

Let me explain, a while ago I set up my new zgemma box and recording works but timeshift doesn't directory is correct but still wont work, it says hardrive is not ext3 or ext4, although I'm sure once you initialise a hardrive on Openatv it automaticly formats to ext4 right?, the work around for anyone else having compatibility problems with timeshift on openatv was a workaround I tried on an old post from openvix, basicly open atv on some hardrive dosent format properly, so unplug your external drive, and format it manualy on another enigma box or a Linux laptop or pc using gparted, this worked for me,
