The name of the RGYB buttons have just been changed, red is still the option, yellow and blue still +24 & -24 change made in epgselection.py

thanks jym sorry i should've been clearer, i understand the defaults are options, recordings, -24 hr, +24hr...

I was wondering how i can change these to catchup tv, planner, favourites, search as in the screenshot above.

If it's epgselection.py that needs changing how would i go about amending it?

Apologies, I am very dumb when it comes to code/editing

thanks

jesus christ. wtf I have I done.... sorry to disappoint you guys, but this is an enigma2 box. It isn't a sly box.
What is the point of visually making something look the clone of an original if your box functions in a totally different way. Including what all the coloured buttons do. its just fecking pointless and totally confusing to who ever is using it.

Official sky style number zap. Post #47

I replaced the numberzap. Png with history-zap-bg-png ( move to your desktop open, reduce size by editing and cropping the file and name it numberzap.png and overwrite the one in mybackgrounds folder) as I liked the look of it.
Have you got the amended numberzap file that you've cropped?

Is it possible to remove the info and menu icons in the bottom right hand corner of the epg screen below and still have them working on the remote. and help would be appreciated

Yes it is possible. You just have to delete the panel code for the elements in the graphicalepgpig screen

Chabs could you point me in the right direction please, as to were the graphicalepgpig screen is (found one in epgselection py but could not find anything called panel) and what would the panel code would be like. please

I'm very happy with the skin, just trying to experience a few bits to play around with. honestly your effort is top notch and considering you don't have an official sly box the skin is bang on and no issues with it watsoever, just showing a little interest in what could be changed for personal preferences.

Far from disappointed :)

go to general xml
!-- numberzap -->
<screen name="NumberZap" position="108,553" size="76,48" flags="wfNoBorder">
<ePixmap pixmap="mybackgrounds/numberzap.png" position="0,0" size="200,81" zPosition="-1" />
<widget name="number" position="8,3" size="60,38" backgroundColor="skydarkblue" transparent="1" font="Bold;28" borderWidth="0" valign="center" halign="center" foregroundColor="white" zPosition="1" />
</screen>

The first line <screen name="NumberZap" position="108,553" position …………………… increasing 108 will move the numberzap box to the left, making it 1100 will move it to near the edge of the left hand side of the screen.
Decreasing 553 will move the number zap box up. Making it 150 will move it to near the top edge of the screen

I replaced the numberzap. Png with history-zap-bg-png ( move to your desktop open, reduce size by editing and cropping the file and name it numberzap.png and overwrite the one in mybackgrounds folder) as I liked the look of it.

You can use whatever you think looks best, the attachment in post #47 (looks familiar) can be dragged into windows paint and re coloured to suit your taste but there will be no transparency. I think that is why I favour using the modified history-zap-bg-png

No need to apologies I am just messing about with the box as well, trying out different things that screen shot I posted is confusing. You keep playing around with the box if it keeps you amused.

Yes its your box you can do with it as you like. The reason i split all my code out and included lots of code comments was so it was simpler to faff. Sorry. I just get annoyed when i see people trying to make exact replicas of the original when it is impractical to do so. Maybe thats just my user experience training kicking in. Carry on.

No need to apologise kiddac, it's completely understandable why you would come across frustrated in some comments you see relating to your skin in the way that nothing really seems perfect for some users, although mostly it may be down to personal preferences and tech freaks loving to freely play around with it to add their own bits in

i think its bloody damn good of you to share this with the world freely and being open to changes/mods/suggestions.

Any user whether a newbie or not can clearly see how much time sweat tears and effort you really have put into your skins, so for you to share it completely free with the enigma2 world makes you a bloody top bloke !!

I'm not trying to come across like a kiss ass, but just some honest positive feedback

I think i speak for everyone (or mostly everyone that knows the definition of appreciation) who uses your skin that we are very appreciative of your hard work and to give us the option to buy you beer tokens is useful and well deserved

Keep up the great work pal :):)

yes i have it but is look like this :(

Download this dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/euur8vtyne611hv/AAB9U_GhVr6QEJtEi5YvIwgOa?dl=0

Modded infobar this goes here = /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd/mybackgrounds/
v5-infobar95-4.png

--- infobar.xml ---
and you can overwrite your existing infobar.xml file with the edited one please back the orignal up first this goes here = /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd/
infobar.xml

Then Reboot your GUI

you will need to enable picons in the extras.xml

Code:
 <!-- infobar picons -->         <!-- 1 = Picons -->
         <!-- 2 = No Picons (default)-->
         <!-- edit both panels -->

         <screen name="InfobarPicon" >
                 <panel name="InfobarPicon1" />
         </screen>

         <screen name="SecondInfobarPicon">
              <panel name="SecondInfobarPicon1" />
         </screen>

you'll also need to enable them in settings..
menu / setup / epg / both the graphical epg settings near top is display it will be set to service name.. change to service name & picon.. do that for both and green to save..
then exit all the way back.. then while watching a channel with no menus press up on remote to get service list up.. then press menu button then select settings..towards bottom is show picons in service list.. set to yes then green to save

For mine if you download all the files in my dropbox link above ull have all my mods - and this includes the mymods file that you mentioned.

All you have to do is create a folder in the slyk-1-hd folder called skyicons and copy all the files from my dropbox that are in the same named folder. The other files (extras.xml, mymods.xml and skin.xml) just go into the slyk-1-hd folder. The last file i have there is one called tv-picon goes into slyks mybackground folder as this is used to have a pure transparent background to the picons within the channel selection feature.

thanks gman, i will have a go at this, could you tell me which mods you have in the mymods xml, as there are some on this thread i don't want.

many thanks for your reply, much appreciated

In my mymods file i have the following mods

Picons on main/other menus
Official sky epg menu
Layout 4 on channel selection screen for crossepg users
Non scroll bars for pressing red(options) in epg
Non scroll bars for pressing record on epg

Hey Gman, noticed this morning your also missing the 4 coloured buttons at the bottom of the Channel Selection Layout screen :willy nilly:

added the scroll feature for them longer title's (not for everyone but i like it )

Ok ive now made the same screen that you see on sky when you press EPG/guide for us enigma2 users. For this to work you need to press EPG and then press settings. Within this page you must turn setting Show bouquet on launch to yes. Now everytime you press EPG youll see my screen, and then just press ok to go to the EPG/bouquet screen
