zgemma H2s,stuck on boot logo with red light

In my experience online updates aren't usually that reliable. If the box is working okay don't touch it unless you know what your doing to either reflash or roll back the updates.

I would definitely advise against sending people your box. You don't really know the person on the other end.

I have been on holiday for two weeks switched my box back on, booted up after 5mins screen went black, switched on and off and just sits there with the red light on, any ideas

Either Wooshman (OpenATV) or Sucmnsee (Vix)

What image were you using or did you buy it already setup?

Tip - once you get it running nicely then take a backup of your image and then you can reflash it with all your details loaded

Hi, i have exactly the same issue nothing displayed on t.v only boot on zgemma box with the red light constantly on. Sorry to jump on your thread but did you manage to sort out your issue.

Hi newbie here I am having the same problem with my box red light and boot on front of box , dose nothing when I put USB in to try to flash any advice would be great thanks

Part of the problem with flashing is that a simple format is sometimes not enough, you may need to delete any existing partitions and create a new primary fat32 partition for it to work.
There are some guides in my signature.

Managed to flash box with a image from zgemma.tv ,booted up fine went through settings but when I try to restore image nothing happens I go to menu setup , vix, image manager restore imagine click on my zip file then restore a box pops up saying please wait while image prepare but when counts down to zero goes back to image manager page with a image restore option have tried clicking both options to restore but same thing happens every time

any help would be great thanks

What image are you trying to restore? Is it one you made before your box went tits up?
Try copying my backup of vix 4.2.006 to imagebackups and see if that restores.

If you read this thread from the start you'll know what to do. Your box needs a reflash.

how do i download the files?

having a lot of problems with the open atv the channels are not saving & how do i install the sky skin

Hi guys, really late coming to the party but I had this issue after CrossEPG stuck on parsing (AGAIN) and I reset the box from the on/off button at the back. When I switched it on, I was greeted with BOOT and the red light on. I was about to reflash the damn thing when I noticed the ethernet cable was not connected. I pushed it back in and everything worked again, so this is always worth checking before reflashing.

Hi
I see this is a current topic. Can I ask advice? My H2S has gone to "boot" and red light . Having read the the threads from start it seems a known problem if you play with your box. I was trying another image and reset when i broke it.
Iv deep formated several different usb sticks a tried the openvix as was and wooh and openatv from the web onto the sticks both as compressed files and enable files all to no avail, its still at "boot"
Questions .!/ Should I see "usb" at some point if the sticks going to flash ? 2/the indication light on the usb lights, does that indicate connection ?
3/When iv exhausted my effort to repair I my send the box off for a £25 repair advertised on line. Any body use this ? 4/ finally, As these repairers need the box it would seem that there is no soft ware repair that can sort it over the net or is there ?
Still trying///
Harry

If you read the initial steps of the Wooshbuild tutorial. It tells you what files you should have on your USB stick when you load basebuild.
