Updating mag256 software/firmware

Update is a must with the 256. Go into inner portal, setup, auto update. On first boot it should update as it's set to update automatically. Got mine up and running yesterday so much better than the zgemma for iptv. Only thing is I can't record with the 256 which I believe is a software bug hopefully will be sorted by infomir soon .

It is possible to record on mag 256 if you also add a m3u file to inner portal and use record manager I got both portal link and m3u from supplier and have successfully recorded to usb you can set recording from inner portal exit and carry on viewing different channels from outer portal

Is it still possible to record on mag 256 as i know this is an old post mate just checking it still can be done as i really want this function

Hiya please could you give me a run down on recording on mag 256.I have a sub on my portal and also have a m3u file if that helps thank you.

sorry to hijack this one, just got a mag 256, am used to zgemma so know nothing bout how they work, is there a different basebuild i can install instead of the infomir stuff ? kind of like ipab or stb emu and if so do i just flash it like a zgemma box, cheers having a pig of a time with the epg:(

Hiya pal the basebuild just stays the same.When you get a sub which I would advise get a few trials they have there own interface.But you will see a difference in them plus some have catchup tv on and some don't.
