A Buyers Guide To The Best Box

Hi, I have a Kryptview a780 and all the channels are not working......I'm looking to buy the miracle box.

Where can I buy the box from and how to I buy the Line subscription and will this work with my VM cable and broadband.

Thanks in advance!!!

Best bet look on World of sat for box then get line from here

A C line or N line is your connection to a server ( the bit that gets your channels working) if you request a line for cable then it's likely you will receive an N line. It's basically a line of text that you need to FTP to your box.

Need help which box to get?

Hello all, my first meaningful post lol, I just wish i'd been aware of this forum before Christmas as I had just decided to ditch sky, I live in a part of the country that only has access to broadband so cable's not an option.
The wife got me a humax hdr-1100s 1tb freesat box from santa ;) to go along with my skybox f5s , now the skybox is ok apart from the odd freeze but the epg is hopeless, so i'm after a little bit of advice, I have two options to consider

1, I get rid of my two boxes and get one box to do everything but it has to have an epg something like sky's and be able to record and also take an c line like the f5s box to get all the other channels ;)

or

2, I keep the humax freesat box (which I like as it's very user friendly with the ability to scroll back through the weeks tv and the red button) and get a box ( eg zgemma-star) similar to the f5s only with a better epg

so what do you reckon any advice on which box to get would be very much appreciated.

Ive read all about the different boxes. I currently have a starview hd combo (old skool haha) i use it with a sat dish and vm bb connection. Im looking for an updated box. Im looking for a recommendation or two really. I have an n line right now. I want to be able to record from the box to either a usb/ex hd. If i want to use both sat and cable will i need another n line and will the ethernet be enough or will i need to plug in the vm cable too? I have been looking af this box. Does this seem decent for what i need?? Thanks in advance
Technomate tm nano se combo

Yes the box will be fine yes you will need seperate lines for sat and cable You will need to split the cable between the router and your box then Ethernet cable (best) from router to box

Yep that will do the trick, good price too.

You will need both a sat line and cable line from a server, so you will need to pay two lots of subs. Probably in the region of £130-150 per year for two decent lines.
(cable lines are about twice the price of sat)

Buy a USB 3.0 Hdd for recording to, nothing massive some boxes don't like them, say 500Gb - 1Tb

You will need to connect your sat dish, VM cable and Ethernet to the box, plus your Hdd

My first post, so be gentle!!

I currently have a sly+ HD box which I'm looking at cancelling.

I am looking at new box like the Vu+ Solo SE V2. Am I right in thinking that if I fit a HDD I can pause and record, and as it comes I can receive all the FTA channels as well as in HD as well?

If I want sly sports and movies, I need to subscribe to a server.

Is there any way of getting these in HD, I can't get Virgin where I live.

Would you recommend this box? I looked at zgemma, but I think these need a bit too much work to configure if like me, you've never used a box like this before.

Thanks for any help.

You won't be able to get HD unless you have cable. Like me mate you're up the creek without a paddle in that department :(

i dont use iptv but you never know if someone has it and can say yes hd,remember iptv is internet not sat or cable related like the apple 2

The zgemma iset up is basically the same as the Vu to set up as are most E2 boxes
