Make it simple. Thomson 240 or 270 👍
Problem with those is there google certified so if they want, have control enough to block apps.Make it simple. Thomson 240 or 270 👍
Be careful don't go to cheap some of them are deadly slowI've read thru and not seen any recommendations for reasonably priced Android boxes from China. I've ordered a couple to try so I'll see how they go. Got a cheap one on at present that works great on Ethernet but the Wifi is shit.

Lol you say “boxes below” I read that but see no mention of boxes :-)Not seen any ?
What about these mate
Ive said this elsewhere on here but.
What i advice take it or leave it.
Is a good spec none certified Chinese android box.
Most have malware on them so purchase one you can install a clean scene rom on. Slimbox roms as an example. SO a AMlogic device.
Don't sign in to any google accounts although as its not certified they carnt push updates to it but all the same don't.
Install a VPN and sideload all the apps you need.
Don't install downloader either as a lot or those quick and easy codes installing apps are infected with malicious files.
Boxes Below can run Slimbox roms
Aliexpress...
You need to click his post, it's a link and then it will show the boxes he's recommendedLol you say “boxes below” I read that but see no mention of boxes :-)
You should have no real issue with those devices.I will look into this further over the weekend and early next week, at the moment I have a Shield and Thomson 270 which I believe are both Google. I used to have the Formuler z11 but wasn’t getting on with the remote so if I was going to buy a new device I would prefer a remote like the firestick or shield has.
I can’t see you having issues tbh.Yes so what about the Dcolor GD1 4K TV Stick that quite a few of us bought a while back it has Amlogic chip but google certified.
I've a Shield mate and ill not worry unless they start to block apps, they could block apps if they want to. Thats is what anyone buying has to keep in mind.Yes so what about the Dcolor GD1 4K TV Stick that quite a few of us bought a while back it has Amlogic chip but google certified.
PLEASE PLEASE FEZ 😏😆I've a Shield mate
HDMI is image and audio and they will all have an HDMI port.Hi , Have any of the suggested boxes use wifi ?or is it just hdmi ?
They will 100% be blocking, they already have the FOSS community up in arms about the app store.I've a Shield mate and ill not worry unless they start to block apps, they could block apps if they want to. Thats is what anyone buying has to keep in mind.
It's a guess what they will do in the future.
If i was looking for a device now it would not be certified.
I'd agree with that, roms becoming available for previously certified Google devices essentially rendering them none certified.Linux devices will probably become more available, but at a guess, there will be a lot of different roms available, if forums like freaktab could have afforded to continue they may have seen a resurgence back to 2012 - 2016 growth/activity spurt.
It looks like the rollout could take at least another year, but if some sources are to be believed, it could be a lot earlier than that with disabling possible to happen on older devices forcing people to upgrade their devices.
