Back up manager and image manager ?

Sorry guys but what is the difference between back up manager and image manager?

backup manager backs up your settings so if you reflash a new image, you can restore your settings

image manager is an image of your system, so you could reflash with that if the box messed up.

If upgraded or downgraded to a particular vix image via the online method of flashing a image would my settings still be there in back up manager? Obviously I would have backed up settings via the vix menu on the box before doing the reflash?

Yes,provided u back it up on external storage.
