Picons are a bit of a pain because of howI've adapted channel numbers it needs to be srp picons but they don't work with cable channels.

I've already got a solution for it by editing some py files to add channel numbers then we can use snp picons so I've got in touch with the devs on atv and they'll be implementing the channel numbers on epg via updates later today once they do I'll release another backup but I'm out later today on a pub crawl so it maybe tomorrow.

Each morning I switch on the TV the box is on a radio channel. It has been happening for the past week.

Any solutions?

Yes your fine to update. For your startup issue I'm not sure why it's doing that on any tv channel press down for epg then menu and choose load channel at startup

There are 48 updates do you know which one is the latest one?

You update them all that's showing you what files and plugins have an update press green to install updates it should install all then reboot

Yes but they won't show on the vm hd channels because cable uses snp picons

Like I said I've sussed a solution and got atv to support it once they add them I need to reupload the image that downloads the custom.xml without channel numbers hack.

Your using snp picons but you don't have channel numbers on epg or do you? With the custom.xml to swap sky hd channels with virgin it also adds channel number but renames the channels so it breaks snp picons so srp picons are needed but srp picons don't work on vm.

No mate dont have channel numbers on main epg. All channel numbers are correct for vm though. When the update for channel numbers is available would it just be a software update or will we need to reflash?

You can now have channel numbers on epg I'vegot hold of the devs on atv to implement it run a software update then on epg press menu change service title mode to channel number, picon and service name and change picon width to 50.

For people on my image with the custom.xml I'm going to update the image to download a custommix.xml that doesn't include channel numbers on epg and activate them via the menu's

Script to change the pics in the V-Skin menus daily
script to download the providers files weekly
script to download the custommix weekly
Iptvplayer icons tweaked to remove the foreign plugins thanks to benijofar
 
dsayer just a quick one, switch box to standby over night, when i switch it back on in the morning it reboots - is this normal or have i ticked or unticked something in the settings.

It's normal it does say in the instructions after epg refresh has ran in the morning it shuts down the system if you want to change this press portal, epgrefresh change show advanced options to yes and change shutdown after EPG refresh to no green to save
 
Openatv has stopped support for channel numbers on epg please hold on doing ota updates until I work a solution
 
Hi dsayers 2014 ,fairly new to this but I have followed your very good instructions for the Vskin that you gave and works perfectly.Will I have to flash the image all over again for the latest update on 13/10/16.?
 
No hold on updating to the latest stay on the version your using. I did a new update on the 13/10/16 because atv started to support channel numbers on epg so the new version downloads a custommix.xml without channel numbers because it could be tuned on within the Graphical EPG settings but now atv has decided to remove it so now im working on a solution to fix it.

HI Iam having some problems when i get to the part where i have to download a custom mix file when i go to job manager there is nothing in the box to run does anyone know what to do for this part
 
Thanks for this, eventually managed to get it done, after a couple of attempts due to being an idiot and, although I didn't know it before now, I'm a little bit colour blind - although I still swear that blue button looks green.....

All seems to be ok, I've got vm and sly cables attached, but I'm not 100% sure the sly side is working. I can get just about every channel, but there's a few that won't work, like Atlantic, STV Glasgow, ITV Encore (will that be regional thing?) to name a few. I haven't checked every channel yet, but does anyone have any advice as to why these might be unavailable? I'm a complete novice so apologies if I don't immediately understand any answers!
 
Sometimes takes up to 30 seconds to change between the sky and virgin tuners on certain channels.
If its listed it should play
