Is this right from what I have read to fix the blue ray playback issues (with the fat PS3 anyways) -- downgrade to 2.10 then do a normal update to 3.41 Then I should be ok with the blue ray.

Some people have reported that worked for them,but it pays to remember downgrading is a very risky process,what firmware are you on at the moment

im getting these 2 errors when trying to connect to the USB. It has installed successfully on the computer, its listed under safely remove hardware. anyway i can get past this error?

hang on installing the drivers now through device manager. LOL

You had an eventful morning,same as all other jailbreaks,turn of the main switch at back flick back on,hit the power button followed imediately by the eject button(make sure there is not a game in it)

Malc27 is that a old or new system with 3.50,in otherwords did you update that one yourself

sinno it works, done it as usual before, the jailbreak device is awesome, how come it keeps flashing unknown device but still works, it disappears when your playing a game

Is your wireless still on on the ps3 or a ethernet cable connected,that is usually the reason it shows up,once you have done the initial setup with device you can remove it,it does'nt have to stay in all the time

wirless has always been off and no cables connected. so i dont need to have the jailbreak in the PS3 all the time? so once the game is running i can take device out and carry on playing? i hope it doesnt cause the ps3 to freeze.

SINNO - Got this off a friend it is the old bulky one not the slim line probably about 2 to 3 years old I can check if my friend updated the system.

If its bulky its more likely the phat,the only reason i asked was some of the new slims were shipped with a 3.50 that gave problems downgrading,you will be good to go with that for the downgrade,did you see the post above with the link for restoring the bluray,have a look at it before you decide to downgrade all the way to 2.10,and also i hope it goes well for you,i only downgraded one and i was nearly s**tting myself with worry but it went grand

Just got my new E3 USB flash drive got my ps3 in factory mode setting then went to downgrade to 3.41 with my other flash drive my ps3 should start flashing then turn itself off but the green light just keeps flashing what’s wrong it will not turn itself off.:dunno:

Malc27 was the other flashdrive formatted to fat32,the ps3 wont recognise it if it is not

I have to agree with Sinno here; J4V that post was not helpful at all. Please try to keep the posts in a helpful manner in this type of situation or don't bother posting.

At the same time Sinno, i would appreciate it if you use the report post button if you notice something like this in the future.

Yes the flashdrive was formatted to fat32 Just tried the downgrade to 3.15 the usb flashes then the ps3 switches itself off

Ok sorry malc27,i had to go to work for a while,can you tell me what you did to get to where you are and be a specific as you can,as in you used the e3downgrader.bin,you then got the Modified 3.41 PUP
Lv2Diag.self and so on,i'm around for about 2 hrs to help you out

Right SINNO I put the e3downgrade 12.03 on my new E3 USB flash drive got my ps3 in factory mode setting then went to downgrade with the Modified 3.41 & the Lv2diag.self FILE 1 but all I get is my ps3 green light just flashing will not turn itself off like it should do.

did you put the usb in the first port from the right,closest to the bluray tray,is the lv2diag file on the root of the usb
