In tuner config for your dvb-c tuner can you press right on dvb-c and check dvb-t is disabled

yes its disabled i will have to pick this up tomorrow as ive got to pick the wife up but thanks for your help

Yes that should be fine. What happens if you do a Manual scan.

Menu, setup, service searching, manual scan, complete (not predefined or user defined)

See if it scans. Is the box 2 cable tuners if it is try scanning on each dvb-c tuner.
