ah you getting your trip back to the northside wheelo, lol good for you

yes anto got the passport stamped with the dns visa.

thanks noel, I normally go with my wife (4foot 7 ish) and she is not comfortable with the hill, but this year she couldn't go to the first game and now she wont go in case they lose (very supersticious)

lol Nothing wrong with that, its working so far lol

Lets hope we do the job on Monday against the auld enemy ;)

you being the same age as me will remember being in primary school and the great summer football from the seventies? I think monday is going to be a tougher test than the kildare game, I know that kerry haven't been playing too well this year, but the sight of a full blue hill will be enough to rev them up, lets hope the dubs get even further revved up, i dont think i can stand to lose to them.

We have been playing mediocre football wheelo ;)
We havent took off yet & I hope the lads are saving it for Monday.

Me Da used to lift me over the turnstiles & I`d wait for him a the bottom of the old hill lol

Ah, those were the days & the hot summers 👍

I'm to young to remember those days in the 70's wheelo lmao but know what your saying;)

I have to agree with you, lots have tried to tell me that the kildare game was great, but for me the best they have played was in the first 15-20 mins of the westmeath game, they looked like they had got out of the gym and used a football for target practice.
for me, there is too much emphasis on being bigger, faster, and longer lasting than your opponents, the basics like fielding, bending into the ball when picking off the ground, shooting while running, free taking and soloing the ball are being forgotten.
as for your memories of croker as a kid, remember crepe paper hats that ran the dye down your face if it rained ( 1983 final ), rosettes, and the women with their prams full of cans, choclate, apples, etc

LOL anto

I'm learning all those things at the mo wheelo, soloing, 4 steps and hop or solo, we can pick it straight of the ground been ladies football, bending in to ball hand passing wow theres so much to learn :D but getting there ;)

and yes I do remember the women with there prams selling the goodies :D

the basics are the most important part, the rest comes with experience and practice.
someone else must have told you about the goodies anto... the seventies, surely you dont remember them?? :)

some of the first words my nephew had were "bacco, sigrets" the mother was forever in town and he loved to shout this at the top of his voice on moore street :)
