Latest transfer news.

Darren O` Dea is gone on loan to Reading after signing a new 3 year deal this morning with the hoops? (the mind boggles).

Celtic are to sign Chinese captain Zheng Zhi, the deal might not go through today but as the player is a free agent the move is not affected by the transfer window.

well i hope it works out well for both sides. depending on who you talk to he was excellent/rubbish, I dont think there is a middle ground with anyone I talk to.

Poor Hull he may have been a good player but he's lost his desire for the game and my Mrs moves more than him

Personally, I think Jan is nearly finished in the game, though he always gave 100% when he played in the hoops.
Its unfortunate he is prone to injury & he`s not getting any younger.
I hope the Hull move works out for him big time as he`s a nice guy & if he`s injury free he will score a few goals :)

China captain Zheng Zhi was given the green light on Friday to start his career with Scottish giants Celtic after being granted a work permit.

The 29-year-old midfielder arrived in Glasgow on Thursday to sign a reported two-year deal. However, Zheng will not be able to play in Celtic's Europa League games after UEFA confirmed he was not registered in time.

Zheng has already played in Britain having spent three years at Charlton Athletic before leaving the club at the end of last season. "Zheng Zhi is a player I have tracked for some time," Celtic manager Tony Mowbray told the club's official website.

"He is a highly-regarded player and was a thorn in our side when he played against us at West Bromwich Albion," the coach went on. "He will significantly add to the squad with his quality and the fact he can play in a number of positions."

On Thursday, Soccer News in Beijing claimed that Zheng will be paid £10,000 pounds per week. "Celtic are a great club with a great manager. I'm so excited and looking forward to playing with Celtic. I'm very happy," Zheng told Scotland's Daily Record. "I know Tony from his time at West Brom and I really liked him then. He tried to sign me a year ago, so it's good for me I was able to do that now."

Zheng will be joining Japanese midfielder Koki Mizuno at the club and is arriving four months ahead of Korea Republic Ki Sung-Yong. He will be the third Chinese player to play in the Scottish Premier League.

Just shows the Gulf in wages compared to south of the border Dee..... £10,000 a week, so 2 weeks wages = the watch John Terry threw out of the restaraunt window at a christmas party a year and a half ago.......

i no Knot shows you wot a prat he is, Zheng will send most of it back home. iv been in the same club as JT he peed up the bar as he couldnt be arsed to go the lav.

hope he adds a little to the celts knot and its not just a ploy to sell millions of jerseys way out east...

@dee these prem footballers dont know the value of anything......I once heard of a player who got a puncture and had his agent get him a new car as "this one is broken"

they have lost all sight of the real world:mad:

Just Found this Wheelo, Great strike for the first one and blistering pace with a neat finish for the second.
