Looks like it could be hdmi connection issue try powering device and tv off at socket for 5 mins then power back onIm getting these green squiggley lines on certain channels.
Anybody know what this could be.
Think they were using zgemmaI realise this is an old thread but just in case anyone has the same issue I am offering my insight. I've come across this scenario a couple of times and on each occasion it was a codec issue caused by using a standard firestick instead of a 4k firestick. The 4k firestick has the necessary codecs to play the stream while the standard one doesn't.
Ahh fair comment 👍. I wasn't aware of that. My insight should still be helpful though if anyone is using a firestick. I also agree with all the previous posters advice to check all connections such as hdmi etc. I would have thought though that if it was indeed a loose connection then it would affect all channels and not some. Hence why I suspected, as with my previous experiences, that it may have been a codec issue.Think they were using zgemmq

As plasterer said in his post he's never had the green lines issue so he can't comment whether VLC would work for him but on the other hand Fox789 stated that it had indeed worked for him. That would support my supposition that it could be a video codec issue that causes it. VLC has its own codecs and therefore could solve the issue in some instances. Are the green lines fixed with you on VLC

Did you find any solutionsYes, on a couple of firesticks that weren't up to the 4k spec.
I just upgraded the firesticks and it solved the issue. At the time I couldn't use an external player on the customized app provided by my supplier. I remember though that only a small couple of channels were affected - the UK version of the now expired TCM was one that I remember and a couple of the UK Gold channels. It was a couple of years ago.Did you find any solutions
