Yeah so... I'm back! Can't get my N-Line to work. I've done all the firmware, channel list etc but when I enter my line details it comes up at the bottom saying "Unknown CAS" the a lot of 0's. Any help please it's a real ball ache!
 
I'm getting an update fail status message on the cong.cfg every time even after downloading again, can anyone help me please ? Thanks Bees for the initial set up, now I just need a config. Thanks in advance.
 
Hi,
I had my box setup done successfully last time. However,i have new C line now. this time when i tried to update config file. It gives me Update failed message. On rebooting box, i cannot see my c line updated in the menu. Can you please advise me where i might be going wrong.

Open the config file in notepad, the text may have corrupted,
don't know how it happens but I have seen it a few times.

Re-download a blank config file from here

Re-paste in your line details.

Then have another go.

Hi, i've read through a fair bit of this thread and had similar issues to others, but I think i'm even more of a newbie than anyone else here.
i've downloaded and uploaded the ssu file, whic I think has worked fine. I've then downloaded the config file and tried to upload but get a message to say update failed.
I also don't know anything about C or N lines. Do I need to get/generate a unique one of these from somewhere or is this something to do with the config file, which is failing to upload?
I've opened this same config file in notepad but obviously have nothing to paste there at the moment.
I'm sorry to be asking questions that likely seem so obvious but I don't have much choice.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
You need to pay a server, who will send you some info to paste into the config file.

It will be a C or N line, it will then clear the $ channels.

Have a look at post 10 here.

You won't use the same file for this box, use the one in the download section
but at least you will have an idea of what they look like.

You can post a request for a line here

i am at the stage of inputting the 4 part details
the supplier has sent me the following details
host, port, user and password

does the host details go into the remain server position

i have already done this and saved it with the yellow button but it says i am not connected

any ideas buddy

Your line should look something like this

N: test.dm-800.com 12000 user1008 143567 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

If you are entering it manually,

Just look for the spaces in the line so you know where to split it up

Server Domain test.dm-800.com (you dont put in the N: bit at the beginning)
Server Port 12000
User Name user1008
Password 143567

Make sure the protocol is set to newcamd and it will fill in the deskey for you

Yes, basically different lines use different cams (protocols)

Generally,

C line (CCcam)

N Line (Newcamd or Mg Camd) you haven't got the option for MG Camd so make sure yours is set it to newcamd

If all the numbers across the bottom don't show up you are set to CCcam and your type of line won't connect.

Look at photo number 8 in the tutorial, make sure you are entering your line in the top part of the config file "newcamd config"
