Have all on virgin been offered hub 4

The best thing to do with any of the Vermin boxes is to put them into modem mode and use a third party router like the ASUS RT-AX86U Pro. Not only will you get a much more stable internet connection but a better WiFi 6 experience with signifcantly less drop outs.

I have Hub 3. Upstairs. Not that great recently. In box bedroom, connection strength is poor. Not even that far away from the bedroom with the Hub.
PC is wired upstairs next to it

Then just WiFi for IPTV and phones.

I'll keep an eye on that router for price drops.

Do you just wire this into the VM hub.
Then set VM hub to modem mode via settings?

Yes from the VM hub port 1 into the back of the router on the WAN port.

I would set the VM hub to modem only mode first, it will reboot and then connect the router.

What modem do you have?
I don't play games, its just for Wifi on IPTV and phones.
Would I put the PC ethernet into the VM Hub or new router?

Be open to suggestions on possible purchases.

I have VM Hub 3. Upstairs. PC is wired upstairs next to it
WiFi for IPTV and phones. No games/consoles.

Sunday 10:30am Test:
Located in Bedroom 1: Wifi is 135mbs
Bedroom 2: Similar ish
Bedroom 3: 30/35mbs

TV/Dining room above Bedroom 1 where the VM hub is: 125mbs
Front room : 40mbs
Kitchen: Similar

I get occasional drop out, 1/2 times a day for about 3/4 secs max.
Is there any merit in getting a router and turning the VM hub into a modem, with my speeds above?
Will there be a noticeable improvement?

Is it set up on 2.4 or 5 or both?

Good point. Just did it on the phone and the front room was previously 40. By looking at the phone WiFi and seeing 5, it was now double.

Is there a way it can permanently transit at 5? Instead of fluctuating between the two? Never really payed too much attention to it, but see the channel on the phone WiFi. Top right drop down.

Outside the kitchen towards the garden its 2.4. So wherever strength is poor, it goes 2.4. Then if I walk into the house near the stairs it sets to 5

Change the SSID names and connect to them separately
