Just wondering which format the usb or external hard drive should be for recording and also is it better in the front or the back of the box? thanks

The front works as does the micro sd card slot. I go for the back as it is then hidden from view.

You need to initialise (format) the stick in the box and then restart the box so that the correct folders are created for you.

Got you that makes sense now does this format it to the correct type its currently ntfs. Is there steps on here that tell you how to initialise it? As the stick i got with the box is only a 8gb
