Hi there, having trouble setting up my kryptview box. Would be grateful for any help. Set up from new says "no video scrambled ".

Thanks Jodav / dee (shame about the Stevie g pic man u fan) went 2 link Jodav managed 2 download the firmware but when I try 2 download the bin file it comes up with 4. Shared .com free file sharing.any sirgestions or other links I can try 2 get bin file been looking 4 over an hour doing my head in.cheers beavis.
 
Go here Beavis and download the firmware 24042011 and flash your box, once you have loaded it connect your internet to box and then do a SW update to reflash to the latest firmware, then factory reset and the automatic scan.
 
Thanks Jodav I seem 2 b getting a bit closer downloaded that file but when I tried 2 flash came up with cannot open serial port com 1 think I have read about it on tk somware so will try 2 find it again unless anyone can point me in the right direction computers not my strongest point must b my age.Hi 2 anfieldroad don't think I should have mentioned being man u going 2 get loads of stick having a bad day.

Hi Beavis

You need to ensure you are using a NULL modem cable to flash the box. Lots of people have trouble if using a USB to serial cable connected to the NULL cable.

My advice to a newbie of computers is always the same. Try and use\find someone with an older comp that has a serial port and just use the NULL modem cable by itself. Then you should have no problems.

I will check back later or tomorrow to see if you need any more help as im off out now. Hopefuly someone might help you out beforehand CACTIKID if you have any more questions or need more help.

Thanks Jodav you've been a great help already dug out my old laptop now have 2 do a load of updates as it cannot read the flash files deadly slow nightmare.nice message anfieldroad will b thinking of u next season in the champs league with the other top teams in England 19.19.19

Not sure why you have to do any updates mind u but good luck, you really should not have too, you should just have to open the down tool, press the download button, then Open button and navigate to the bin file and start. You wont be able to read the flash files sodo not worry about that.

Eureka ive done it got my old Packard bell out and managed 2 flash it from there had 2 download win zip couldn't open a ran file or something did that flashed it with cable that came with box and not with the USB adapter and followed your instructions and working.just hope it lasts or I'll kick it through the window.now only got 2 replace the pump on my boiler finish tilting the shower and track down a keypad for my Sony vaio ,2 keys not working at least the kids r off my back now.thankyou 2 everyone on the site especially Jodav cheers mate hope I can return the favour sometime(won't b computers) but do repair photocopiers.c u soon

Im a Mighty Middlesbrogh fan so have enough problems off my own in that department :( but my prem team is Utd.

Cheers cactikid have tried 2 give it away twice but got it back going 2 keep it now also helped me with a eurovox a couple of yrs ago.thanks for the you tube link as well .beavis
