double check that file date,as it is not in downloads, the file is it a rar file needing extracting,if its reading zero you did not load file to loader.

no harm to look at first post also👍

did you look at the video and tut?was the box turned off at back before pressing download?and most important do you have a null modem cable?

Downloads: Kryptview_A780_ 29112011

There is a later file in the download section now, the april one
is there too. Make sure you load the A780 version not the A750.

As in the previous post "download not requested" is a cable or com port
issue.

so what ever file you use, if the settings are correct
the program should load.

First, extract the BIN file with Winzip or Winrar.

Open the loader and navegate to the BIN file.

(You should be able to check the com port number your
computer is using beforehand through device manager and properties.

If can't find the com port the lead is in, change the settings in the loader program
as suggested.Just try a few.(Better to know which com port though as that
eliminates another issue)

If this doesn't work we are back to the good old "null modem cable" problem

An "RS232 serial" cable looks identical to the "Null Modem Cable"
The null cable has one wire,"a cross over wire" wired differently inside so you
can't tell by physically looking at them

If you have the wrong cable you can try to load the
firmware but it just won't work

Don't just take my word for it ask Ted Luxston !!!lol

Amen Bees..!
Allyb your so close you just want to cry as i did and not ashamed to say it!! It sounds like that "null modem cable" has reared its ugly head again... Get your lead from lincast nic nacks..online .. its about 3 quid including p&p.. Plugged it in.. STB loader..bin file..90 seconds later all done..! I had the wrong cable and was up till 4am trying to make it work ( jodav, bees and cactikid etc came to the rescue) but for peace of mind buy your lead from above.... ps lincast nick nacks were is my commission i send every one with "download not requested" to you...!!

cheers guys ... already spent over £15 on two wires that are no use .... gonna throttle someone in Maplins lol new cable ordered now
will let you know how i get on

Its ok bro..Maplins advertise it as a null modem cable..but its actually a R232 cable which is not the same..! But now i have someone else to tease about that cable..aint that right boys..!! ha ha. The worst thing about it is that the actual process of downloading software to box is about 90 seconds.. yet you just like me was pulling their hair out for hours and hours on end..! Still at least when someone else posts.."Download not Requested" you can laugh first then tell them about that bloody lead after you have stopped laughing.. !

alright guys im back again ... got the null cable done everything as per instructions but still getting the not requested message

Hi allyb74

Getting a driver that suits your laptop and OS is the main problem when using a USB to Serial converter. Even if device manager looks tidy does not mean the driver is suitable. Here are two links to two different drivers you can try.

USB-RS232 Serial Converter Driver Download

USB to Serial Adapter driver downloads and documentation

Each time you install one (try the first link first) go to device manager ensuring the USB to Serial adapter is plugged in, open up PORTS (COMM\LPT), Double click the USB TO SERIAL entry, click PORT SETTINGS, click ADVANCED TAB, then set COMM PORT number to COMM 1, SAVE settings (genraly you do not usualy have to change anything else like BAUD rate or the like).

Then try and flash as per instructions.

Good luck and if success let us know which driver worked bud.

jodav :)

But if that fails.. someone you know must have an old laptop or PC(everybody has an old DELL with a 9pin port or if your near Essex as a last resort..!!
