How to setup hdd to record on the h2h

Ok done that now it won't let me initialise the hdd do I need to do anything else in the settings

If u reboot again it should then let u initalise

Yep it let me initialise but then got an error saying it wasn't a ex 2 or ex 3 partition so now I'm taking the hdd back to all 0 0 0 then going to format in fat 32 and try again

Ur best bet is to download mini partition tool for ur pc. U can the wipe the drive and format it straight to ext4 (which is what u would do on the zgemma) and then plug it in and it should be able to work straight away.
