"idiots guide" to installing sucmnsee's image with EVERY step explained in detail

Having found myself as a Kryptview orphan, I have been looking for my way forward. I have read Rusty's idiot guide and also Sucmnsee's original contribution. I am considering buying a Zgemma H1 cable box and requesting a line in the relevant section on this site. I have Virgin cable but no satellite connection . I have read every post under Rusty's guide but found myself in a dilemna. I cannot figure how to use the guide to configure for a cable connection. I was hoping someone may be kind enough to give their time and explain to me step by step how to use this guide for a cable installation.

Hi, will this guide work with cable on an zgemma 2s box? I'm ordering mine today and on the hunt to find a guide I can use when it arrives.
 
hi all, got a zgemma S2 same as my existing box.....installed the latest VIX release this morning, got everything setup but every time i try to access SKY SPORTS or any other paid channels by box just freezes....ive restarted MGCAMD1.38 loads of times, im using exactly the same NEWCAMD.LIST as i was this morning which worked. can someone just confirm the location this should be FTP'd to? but pretty sure ive got it all right. ive restarted the box, updated BOUQUETS and EPG but just wont stop freezing whenever i wanna watch any paid...

help! (cos im missing Leeds play Watford! :) )
 
Hi all I have a zgemma s2 was watching sky all of a sudden it went blank fta channels work but nothing else from what a can see everything is working Internet mgcamd etc re- booted tried everything new line still no luck a bit puzzled at this stuff as I am a newbie any help will be really appreciated ime on openvix
 
Hi question on setting up and downloading cross epg I've initialised hard drive but when I go to download epg I get a error message saying openvix needs to reboot any ideas people what's causing this???

I've done the hddguru, Windows format fat32 aswell I've done it on 5 different memory cards, 4g 8g and 16g I extract the zgemma folder to them after I've formatted them and the star s2 isn't saying usb or flash on it, how can I sort this box any1
 
On both hddguru and windows did u untick the 'quick' box?
If stll struggling use the zip file labeled atv (vix really)

Create a folder in /hdd called imagebackups
Ftp that zip to there
Image manager
Blue to restore
