Just ordered the h.2s as left the Openbox out in the Spain appartment, so this thread looks right up my street :yes!:
 
If anyone wants to write 1.......... lol there is an openvix manual if u google. With almost everything as here. But when skins and hacks are added in theres small differences start to appear.

H2s will be getting a vix4 release tonight/tomorrow with slyk skin. Chabs skyq to follow.

Are you releasing vix4 for the 2s sucmnsee , I'm still running hades just too lazy to update :)
Will probably update to vix4.
 
Just have to get my hands on one. Think the ibox 2+ is actually gonna be the next 1 lol but soon as i can i will :)
 
I have just received a zgemma star 2s. As I know nothing about setting these up I was just wondering is there a idiots for idiots guide.
I am literally starting from scratch.
 
well let me start by saying congrats....you've found it & qualify to use it..... page 1 post 1

If you look in the 2S section you will see several images, they come with guides or just read post 1 on any of those threads

If it was used in a box before it may not work and will need the hddguru fix. But try first anyway.
If needed download hddguru low level format tool.
Open it. Untick quick in format.
Format ur usb
Once finished use windows format.
Fat32
Again untick quick.
Copy zgemma folder back to usb.
Try ur flash again.
 
I just created an image in the Vix menu and I am hoping to use this to flash another zGemma for my bedroom...but this room only has one satellite feed. I was planning to flash the new box with the image and then disable the tuner b in the menu as per the guide....I'm thinking this should be ok - any reason why this wont work?
 
with the feed connected to tuner A & tuner B set to not configured you shouldn't have any issues, the problem you would have encountered IF you didn't disable tuner B would be tuner lock when scanning. You will need to check with your provider to see IF you can run your line on multiple boxes as you may need a second line

1st check the feed coming from the dish goes directly into the zgemma & isnt going anywhere else before the zgemma
2nd refer back to the guide you were using & check every step from the beginning as something may have been missed
 
Once again i would recommend anyone buying a new box not to buy the s, 2s, h1, h2. They're much slower than the
Hs, h2s, h2h.
 
how can I get my channels back in order I change to get me regional channels all ok but all my channel numbers went out of sink with there channels ??
