Needing a way of getting iptv on tv upstairs. Anyone tell me the cheapest way of doing this. My tv is not smart and my kodi box is so out of date it's unusable. Any help from the gang would be much appreciated. D.K

Android box, Chromecast from laptop or phone, enigma 2 sat or cable box, firestick, and the list goes on and on!
A lot depends on your budget.

just buy a firstick, install the smart iptv app and away u go. I have mine upstairs, works flawless, just don't load it with useless apps as it causes issues

Your kodi box could still be usable if you can download apps onto it. Failing that a android box and then download an app and you are good to go

kodi box is more than 2 years old there wont be enough ram to run good IPTV. Buy a fire TV box (70quid) these are great devices then you can setup to run other apps on it. Other option if you have any E2 boxes about use that

Your old Kodi box will probably still work. I have one working which is about
4 years old, it can't be upgraded to the latest version of Kodi.

But you don't need Kodi to run IPTV on an android box.

Download STB EMU or DigitalSTB from google play (free download)

Give the MAC address to your server, type in the server URL and you
have got something that looks and works like a MAG box.

Easy as peas !!

If push comes to shove MXQpro with the same set up £25 ebay, then you can use covenant on Kodi too.

I have to disagree m8 sorry if his Kodi box is running on 500mb of ram it will struggle with FHD 1080p content as there wont be enough space to buffer quickly it will constantly glitch. even with a firestick depending on the stream it may struggle a bit on 1080p. This all comes down to the IPTV provider aswell though i admit. You get what you pay for on these things but do shop about and compare prices

I can only go by my own experience.

Old MXQ box worked fine, it was just a bit slow to open up the emulator and start running.
Streaming was fine.

Upgraded to the MXQpro, Not noticed any particular difference with the stream quality or stability to be honest, but does load the emulator
a lot quicker, and remote is better.

Can also use it for Covenant due to the up to date Kodi version.

It's was described above, here it is again in a bit more detail

Using your android box.

Navigate to google play, register if you need to.

Search the above apps,

Download and install.

Open the App and find the MAC address it gives you.

Give that to your server.

Type in the URL he gives you into the profile part of the menu.

Reboot

Happy Days !!!
