IPTV box recommendation...

Is the Nvidia shield still King for IPTV? I have the older pro model which still works great but since I need an additional box, I was wondering if there was anything better out there for 2021?

The shield is overkill just for Iptv bud others will say but the upscaling blaaaah blaaaah blaaaah all depends on budget bud

Ye depending on your budget there are some really good boxes and devices out there .

Even with it being overkill the shield is no question the best Android device overall. The specs speaks for itself but again depends if your budget dictates getting one.

There's nothing better mate, if you already own the shield, don't waste your time or money on anything else, nothing compares to it. "Overkill" for iptv? So what, if you can afford it then get one, stick with your one tho, no need to upgrade to the 2019 model, you don't get enough new specs for your money. 👍

Agreed with above if money is not an option. Superb the shield are and overkill for quality is not what i would agree with 👍

It's also future proof in all fairness, the 2015 model is now 6 years old but still nothing matches it in specs, but I agree, all depends on budget. in the long run you will get your moneys worth out of it 100%. The way I look at it is this,

If your going to spend 110 quid on a fire tv cube for example then you mayswell put the extra 70 quid and buy a shield.

My xtrend ET 8500 is 6 years old and is the quality of the shield in an E2 box and runs flawless

But I also understand what @bazcfc1 is saying, for example, I know baz don't really bother with kodi ect... he would rather use a solid vod to watch a film (Quote me if I'm wrong tho) whereas me, if there's a film that's 1080p and the same film which is 70gb big 4k HDR then I'm choosing that one over 1080p all day long, I know 100% the shield handles that with ease, you buy a box for what you require.

Absaloutly bud I had shield and found was using it more in kids bedroom then anything else and don’t really bother with kodi as that’s what vod is for lol but we all have our own preferences on devices but personally prefer for android tv for everything
