is 80% of wages actually going to be 80%?

Well Weatherspoon (non salaried) staff that are paid weekly have now been told they will get paid this week and then not again until the end of April when the government 80% help is due to start being paid. They will then be paid 80% of their contracted hours.

They've been advised that suppermarkets are desparate for staff so his staff may want to apply for those supermarket jobs.

There is tons of delivery jobs out there taking on but it’s still harsh in these conditions to have to look for a new job.

yea it's harsh as apparently the government scheme can be back dated to march 1st. Staff don't know if then at end of April they will get paid for the April weeks or if they will start getting paid from the end of April.

The main thing at the moment is to stay alive! So food, warmth and shelter are top of my list.
Luxuries can wait till/if this covid19 thing ever comes under control.
