I have Lenovo thinkcentre all in one on windows 7. I turned it on this morning and the fan is on overtime spinning fast therfore its noisey as hell.
I read up and reset theý bios, took cmos battery out, but another thing the network adaptor isn't working. I reinstalled drivers for it but still no joy.
All about strange and a virus scan reveals nothing untoward.
I then system restored to the earliest and the same.
But, the network adapter is crossed out. I've tried installing the correct drivers (have them on a stick) and I get an installation error.
Tried everything from uni stalling the adapter to drivers to cables but stilling crossed out in the taskbar.
Quickie, could the network adapter have died therfore making the cpu fan run fast ?. And, is it a plug in network adapter or built to motherboard ?
Any help please exactly the wrong time for forking out for a new one
