You can ask the provider for a refund but that's not likely to happen.
You can ask her what mag boxes she supports and get one of them.
Or you can ask her to convert it to a streaming line and use Android device if you have one
 
Have you tried unticking the ministra portal on mag box as the newest mags use ministra and you just need to untick it

Sounds like it’s hardware locked contact current provider to see if they’ve hardware locked it

It wasn't for me, it was my brother and he wanted the channels straight away
 
I was just thinking about the MAG boxes. Do u think are they on the way out? I have one and it keeps freezing and buffering and if I hook up one of those boxes for my brother, it'll do the same to him , no matter what provider u go with and also u can't get a vpn for them. The only way is to get a vpn router, android box or firestick and then get a vpn
 
100% on there way out if not dead and buried already, providers just dont want to support Mac Accounts.

Better off with a firestick.

Not true about them keep buffering and freezing as I’ve set a few up for friends and family.
Also they are not on the way out just the older models and for newer models providers need to make tweaks
Your right that they can’t have a vpn on and would need a vpn router.

I may be a bit stupid in saying this but with the firestick remote control, do u buy a separate remote for iptv on firestick
