tried full factory reset then a deep scan with absoulutely no channels being found. not sure if new cards been sent out. I use old telewest connection from old house holder for last 3 years

Either that or try changing your symbol rate to a different one then do the reset etc!
Not sure if its the same situation in the area you are in. I personally found that the code was taking much longer to update than usual. I've replied in your other thread regarding your channels issue.
