New LNB required

I like this thread, in the pic above the quad lnb lying on the floor is a 40m collar and if you know the make you can double check. And it looks quite bulky and heavy as the duraline is heavy. Just toddle up there with new lnb and job done.

It's expensive that's all.

I don't need another LNB, just the bracket.

I have an Inverto unicable LNB I want to install
Well mk2/3 40mm adapters are like rocking horse muck.

Mk 4 40mm adapters even wos has them and you maybe able to tweak it to fit over the top rather then internally.

Failing that buy a mk4 dish and an adapter from wos.

i had a prob. with lnb/bracket on old dish .
look at the posts here

Just for simplicity I think I have it sussed, the lnb holder is 38mm and when you pressent the 40mm you cant tighten the screw, what you do then is use a good quality plastic tie, even 2 or 3 and it will never move. That dish has the lnb mounted in such a way that it extends the face of the lnb to the dish face, called focal length, hence sky not stupid, when it goes tits up u need a new dish and lnb. The newerdishes extend the lnb arm, which is the proper way and all you had to do was lift off old and replace with new,

Now if you want a proper 40mm setup then you need a new dish but dont buy sky by triax. I assume the lnb you got has legacy ports. So as said back up with a few plastic ties, after you have tuned it in and bobs your uncle.

If you like sky stuff have a look here and I would say your dish is MK1, so a new one is due, bit like the nokia 3310!!
