To easily edit xml files download a free xml viewer. XML Wrench is what I am using at the moment. Then you just need to remove the comments <!-- -->

Hello,
I have installed this skin on my box and it is kinda working. The skin is installed and some of it looks good. The problem I am having is with the EPG. When I press the EPG button on the remote, I get the old skin menu (ie its not the blue sky graphic). I beleive I have to change the EPG settings somehow but I have no idea what I need to do. Is this related to Bouquets?

I still hae not figured out how to arrange my channels in the same order as Sky etc so maybe this is related...

Can someone point me in right direction please?

The channel order is related to the bouquets so it you do auto-bouquets then it will arrange them in an order for you

as for it displaying the old guide make sure you've selected the correct skin and restart GUI and make sure you have the multi-epg selected
 
see the first page of this post, if your screens don't look like that, then you haven't installed my skin. You can only download this skin via the link on the first post.

"some of it looks good".... can't be my skin then ;)

I defintely have the skin installed and selected. And it is working. I can see the blue skin and logos etc. The mini EPG when you press the right/left buttons seems to be working fine.

The problem is when I press the dedicated EPG button the remote, it opens the old EPG menu which is called "Cool EPG". Is there a particular setting that has to be modified to use a specific EPG.
 
VIX specific screens and 3rd party plugins haven't been skinned. I don't know VIX so cant help you on that. There is probably an option in the settings if your press menu button on the EPG screen. Alternatively it might live in the plugins menu. You might need to turn cross epg off.

im using OpenATV not vix...cannot figure out why the skin wont work...

The process I have followed so far (keep in mind this is the first time I have touched a Zgemma box, total noob):

- Opened box and scanned for channels.
- opened filezila and sent the latest skin (downloaded from dropbox ) across to the box
- Went into Skins and selected Slyk1 and box restarted.
- Everything seems to work, except the main EPG still shows Cool EPG guide. This was part of the image that I initially got on the box.

Does it sound like the skin did not make it across fully or is there a setting or step that I have missed. If the skin works in most other places like settings etc is it supposed to work on the Main EPG as well. If so it sounds like I need to remove the skin and start all over again??

Thanks for all the hard work Kiddac. Have it installed on openvix 3.2 and its a breath of fresh air mate. Feels like a new box lol.

Hope its ok as I have included your skin on a backup image on another forum and it is the only skin installed as no other is needed!
 
try menu...setup...usage & gui... buttons setup...
my EPG button mode... says show graphical EPG

Yeah mentioned you in the post, its close enough finished from what I can see anyhow. Its just a backup to help others as never shared anything.

after that I could not get the "download plugins" up.. anyone else have that issue?
 
good work Kiddac, looks excellent, is this stable or will it knack my box? seems a load of issues , just asking so no offense, new to it all ;-)

There's no major issues just a few screens that haven't been skind yet but they just fall back to the default image. Give it a go and switch back if you don't like it. We might have to wait a while for the next update because he's having issues with his box but thats nothing to do with this skin

Show warning before box restart... (too long to fit in the box)

Not annoying me, just the skin is perfect, it's nothing major! Great job!
